I think Annie might be more popular and better liked if she didn't always try to take the blame for things that clearly aren't her fault. I don't have the energy to go look for examples but this is far from the first time when something bad happened and she decided that, because she MAY have had some small part in it, or at least have been standing nearby, it was therefore her fault and she should proclaim thusly. In this case, if whoever is running the puppet show did not know about Jeanne somehow, and happened to pick it up from Annie, and really quickly manifested a Jeanne ghost and had it stab a NP... even then, it just flat out isn't Annie's fault. Annie didn't take them to the bridge scenario. The bridge was originally destroyed by Loup and never recreated in realspace, and she can't control things in Zimmy distortions anyway.
Annie didn't manifest the glass-eyed-man-controlled Robot to push her off the bridge.
Annie didn't take them to the river scenario. Someone did that on purpose though, as it is different than what happened the first time Robot pushed her! Annie didn't then modify the resulting Annan Waters scenario to manifest Jeanne. If she happened to think of Jeanne, when suddenly dumped where she first and last saw Jeanne... so? Not her fault. Annie did not direct the Jeanne actor to stab the bald NP. If the scenario were Annie-focused, I would expect her to have been splatted rather than delivered to a newly recreated riverbank, or at least personally attacked by Jeanne. Not her fault and she isn't even the main focus! I fail to see where Annie had anything to do with this at all. So all blurting out her bogus confession can do is ensure that people who don't know all the background might blame her for it. A lot of Annie's problems with people are self-induced, and she doesn't have Tony's issues to blame for them. Annie has gotten the blame for things that weren't her fault a couple of times, but she's more often taken the blame for things she had little to nothing to do with. One recent example is the whole "It was my fault that Loup retrieved Renard's original body and burned it to a crisp" thing, but there are others...
