I was expecting Paz to apologize to Antimony this chapter but not before the quest to get Kat operational again. Hopefully this is just a preamble and the crazy adventure with wacky hijinks is still on; the setup would kinda be a waste if it was just to make an opportunity for the apology.

She's just come face to face with the ongoing results of Kat's driven obsessiveness and has realised that tendency isn't really Annie's fault, I think.

I agree with your conclusion, I have just gone back too and read that section where Paz has a go at Annie for upsetting Kat to become distracted and obsessed, you can see that Paz is super upset at the changes in Kat, and is blaming it on Annie (who has been the centre of a lot iof the weirdness and changes to be fair), but there is no way to blame this current state of affairs with Kat on Annie and Paz realises that she got it wrong originally, Kat would have always gone on to be like this. I am very interested to see how this discussion goes now, I expect we will see the events of the Love Boat brought up as well.

Fingers crossed that next page will fill in some of the gaps of the first pages of this chapter.

Also, it seems that Kat has a hard limit on her, uh, reach for electronic devices. I wonder what would happen now if she was connected to one single device (far away from civilization obviously) and that device was powered off. And what about when she regains access to her body? Will the location of her sphere of influence then be limited by where her body is, or still be able to travel like it appears to be doing now?

PS: I am really having a hard time coming up with adequate words to describe this.

Anyway, I predict that Paz will apologize for claiming Annie does not deserve to be Kat's friend and for laying the whole responsibility of Kat's lack of wellbeing on her feet, and that Annie accepts it since despite Paz being unfair her outburst provided something valuable in that it revealed that Kat was suffering, something the Annies had not realized.

It would be interesting if they got as far as trading notes on seeing Kat in Mecha-angel-Kat form.....

Speaking from the speaker in Annie's hands, Kat says she's going to disconnect and talk to them from a speaker closer to where she wants them to be, so she can guide them there, perhaps. Annie wants her to wait, but she doesn't. Annie is frustrated. Looking around, she says perhaps they should listen for Kat's disembodied voice and look out for this station Kat wants them to get to.

But Paz talks to Annie, saying she's sorry.

What is Paz sorry about? I guess we'll find out on the next page, but I think it's probably for pushing ahead with Kat's plan, apparently without questioning (well, a little bit). I'd thought perhaps Annie and Paz had talked about this off camera, but it's looking like they didn't. Is Paz going to explain why she agreed with Kat's plan after asking basically one question? Are we going to find out that Kat's had this plan for a while now and has already talked to Paz about it? What will she tell Annie?
