"Knowledge Of Everything"... is likely Omega's purpose.

The chapter thumbnail appear to be new people speech bubbles, maybe in the distance or whispering.

While it appears to be something tech-y like a circuit board, etc, I also canβt help but think of pipes and ducts

Indirect wild spec Omega is Robot with hidden subroutines How about a subconscious robot group mind? I doubt one would exist without Kat knowing it, but their collective minds would have full system knowledge, large amount of computing power, be completely decentralized, and have that negative whiff of Diego. I doubt it, though.

It's all for the Omega Device. Perhaps it is time we learn about why the shadow men, and possibly the whole court, have been... serving the Omega Device, for lack of a better term. Trust in it's logic? Or what?
I'm looking forward to (and hoping for) a lot of tea to be spilled this chapter!
Another thought: Tony appears to be one of the main players in all things Omega, according to Shell and to other clues. We know he was helping with experiments for Omega way back in the Tony/Surma forest expedition. So like, Omega isn't new - he probably wasn't part of the initial court, or at least we've seen no hints towards that, yet it seems like he's been around for quite a while, and uses Tony for stuff...
The reason I bring this up is, is there any chance Omega has something to do with this? I know it's more likely that Tony's issues are just his issues, but this is a world where some other really odd stuff has happened. So who knows? I'm not necessarily saying that I think Omega caused Tony's mind cage, but I could easily see Tony being extra attractive as a tool for Omega due to his unusual mind.

Ah, good. I see this is the chapter when we finally get more questions answered than raised. *laughs*

I doubt it, though. I would only suggest Robot only because I don't think she's looked too much at his chip lately if he's not swapped bodies yet. As her knowledge has grown he's less of a focus on needing to check in. We still don't know where his idea of to idolize Kat came from or to call Annie mommy. A behavior unique to him

The chapter image looks like a microscope photo of a digital integrated circuit. Almost exactly like this one: youtu.be/Fxv3JoS1uY8?t=110

So is the court going for omniscience or something? Reminds me of something Coyote said once about the court being man's attempt to become god.

And next we'll find that Shell wore that fetching outfit because she's dating Tony. I kid. I like your enthusiasm π If you knew me IRL, you would know how interesting it is that I am so engrossed and enthusiastic about this. I'm a fairly old dude, not in great health, and as burnt out as anyone you know, I'd wager, yet I'm really into this. For some reason. GC is my favorite fantasy world.
I doubt if anyone cares, but I have a mental list of loose plot threads. I'm sure there is nothing on it that someone hasn't posted about, not saying that! But whenever a new plot development happens, first I drink it in and enjoy it, then I try to see if it might provide clues toward clarifying any of my plot mysteries. I mostly stay away from wildspec theories, except for one recent post in that thread, but I've still got a lot of interest in various mysteries surrounding robots, the ether, and the court, among other topics. Contracts...
Oh, and I'll be very surprised if it turns out Shell is dating anyone at all, though I imagine she'd love to date (or jump to marrying) Aata if he'd go for it! Not going to elaborate on why I think that.

Not going to elaborate on why I think that. I've said since about the first time we saw Aata and Shell together that their relationship was something more than just boss-subordinate. Although I was careful to point out that a parent-child or uncle-niece relationship would qualify, along with a great many other possibilities, because there was (and is) NOT a strong indication of a romantic relationship. (Of course, that could just mean they are good at hiding it while on duty.)

Not going to elaborate on why I think that. Heh, you just sound like a smart reader to me. Ditto on the... ahem, middle-aged... and the old bod wearing out, as you do. And no need to elaborate, either; as a middle-aged professional woman who has worked for an extremely charismatic and gifted engineer boss and who wasn't dumb enough to ruin either party's professional or personal lives to show her feelings for him to him or anyone else, I could elaborate all you want.

Well, maybe Shell wore that outfit because she thought Aata would be meeting them there, and she wanted to see if she could get him to view her a bit "differently"....

Tom, you're being creepy, this was literally the subject of my research presentation on Friday (see attached for proof, though name redacted because Internet), and I know your buffer is like months long. I guess it's what happens when the author of a comic you like likes the same time period you do. Attachments:
