I just think it's a pity that she never wore these again.

I'm sure you also know it how when you dive into something too deep you start seeing it everywhere. Has anything in real life reminded you so starkly of Gunnerkrigg recently? I'll start! All of these are from the past month or two. 1. My girlfriend found a steel-blue hairclip somewhere, showed it to me and put it in her hair, in just the right spot. What was striking about this is that she never heard of GC or seen a single page. (*) 2. A pigeon couple built a nest in a tree I see directly from my workdesk! I never liked pigeons but Tom has swayed my opinion a little and also it's cute to see the critters putting so much care into building something. 3. A colleague dug up a spare He-Ne laser somewhere and a few mirrors and built a toy optical cavity. (Well, not exactly a double slit but whatever.) I've never seen such thing anywhere except on a whiteboard. I went completely AWESOME-O and stayed for a hour just watching it! (*) I know, right. I have a trouble relating my personal things to other people in fear they wouldn't appreciate it, even my closest ones. So you all here are closer than family in this part of my life.

Heh, no. But if I thought about it I could come up with a few. We have a pair of pigeons in a tree behind the house. A couple of figures in a new Tarot deck remind me of characters. I live directly on a national border with a river as the boundary and I have residency on one side and not on the other, though I regularly visit both. I've pointed out how much like Irish country folks the Forest elves are, right down to their rural Irish names.
