Well. That's it for Loup. I'm not too sad to see him go, but I'm worried for the rest of the Forest. Really? I'm on a 50/50 whether this will go badly for the Shadow Men or for Loup.

Ooooh, wow, didn't realise it was so similar down to the sound effect. The Court repurposing their previous experiments makes me wonder where the signal/Coyote is going - perhaps a prison based on Jones? We might finally find out if she really could have taken Annie back..

Uh-oh. They'll end up dissipating Coyote's message into their battery and angering Loup even more. If he can't get it back he'll wipe the power station and half the court with a flick of his finger.
Then his patience will be over and it will be time for Rey to return his power

We might finally find out if she really could have taken Annie back.. Maybe she could be invulnerable to Loup in a fight, but he didn't confront her on those terms when she went to the forest... He just took her out of the picture with a thought. He could just do that kind of lateral solution to a Jones-like prison

I'm most interested in what's happening at the end of this conga line - namely, improbably, Aata shaking that etheric honeystick for all he's worth. Considering differences between the layers, there may be anything. From flowers spontaneously sprouting from the ground, then growing wings and flying away, to everyone there finding out whether mad scientists proper are really demigods, the hard way (as in mass awakening for «<Court Member> looses a roaring laughter, fell and terrible!»). My reaction: Meddling with the fabric of existence is par de course. That's just their job, heh. But meddling with angry Loup and/or Coyote's unfolding plan may be extremely unwise.

I will start my oven for my own Etheric cookies A shame you didn't link this page, wherein we were told that station was specifically for extracting ether from lake water. (Since Coyote is the one who told us it was "lake water" in the first place, and George had no clue what he meant (what lake?) I think that confirms Coyote's plan is still on track. Also related, this page where we see an adptation of the station's program be used to extract the etheric essence out of a canine (doll) body.

You'd think, they would have had a few more people, to get some multi-hops for redundancy. I'm sure they have it covered, but all it takes is for Goofus to freaked by a bug. I'm imagine, they have there top people though.

OK, I had a busy day yesterday, so I'm responding to this one now, long after everyone else already did, but oh well. I'll read everyone's comments shortly, but I'm doing my first impressions. Aata just said "Now," just after Coyote's fragment erupted from Loup's noggin. And ... weirdness ensues. It seems Shell is responding to Aata's command by throwing a spinning object of some sort. It's hard to say what she's throwing it at, but the fact that the light source is in her face suggests that it's at Loup/Coyote. Also, we see a Shadow Men agent behind her ... have they been forming a chain of people going back to the Readings Thing they left outside the Forest?
In the second frame we see a surprised-looking James and Parley turning their heads to look back at this happening – judging from the lighting, again. Another indication that the Shadow Men kept everyone else in the dark – I don't think Parley and James expected this. And then, from a distance, we see the spinning object curving its way toward Loup/Coyote as Annie looks on, too far away for us to see her expression or reaction. Good throw! Shell must have practiced throwing that thing for a while.
And ... with a ZAP, the spinning object seems to have come into contact with Coyote's fragment, which seems to be losing its shape and melting away in a way. The spinning object is revealed to look something like one of the antennae on the Readings Thing, or perhaps one of those honey serving utensils. It appears that it is draining etheric energy from Coyote's fragment, converting it to a pinkish-white bolt that is making its way through the air.
Then, with a CRACKLE, the etheric energy bolt is attracted to the hand of another Shadow Men agent, and there does appear to be a line of them making its way through the Forest. In the final frame it seems that each agent has one of these antenna/wand devices, and the etheric energy is being channeled from one to another. Quite conceivably this leads straight back to the Readings Thing. Looks like they're about to get some pretty energetic Readings.
Somehow I don't think Loup will be learning about Coyote's plan or getting any memories back today. I wonder whether the Court will be getting any of those memories, or whether they're just getting energy out of it. It seems as if they're in the process of draining the etheric energy out of the reaction the lake water caused, but what does that mean? Will Coyote get a word in edgewise? Is this also draining energy from Loup? What will be the effect on Loup, and on the Forest itself? What will Loup do?
Now to read everyone else's comments!

A relay system, indeed. I wonder if the 'power stations' were the prototypes and, like John Harris' chronometers H1 - H4, the sticking point was miniaturisation? Might well have had no need to scale them down until this opportunity came along. If vacuuming the fragment of Coyote out of Loup is what they're after, perhaps they didn't need full power versions for just a fragment of a god? This sentence terrifies me. They only want PART of the power of a GOD for what they have in mind. That reminds me of the quote "I don't fear the man who wants ten nuclear weapons. I'm terrified of the man who only wants one." Cookie to the first person to identify that quote.
