Hey folks, just as an administrative note, GK has alerted us to the fact that we will need someone to step up when they step down. I know it's unpleasant to think about because we really appreciate GK <3, but we should seek a handful of people who would be willing to take on moderatorship before moderation is actually needed, and do some sort of poll to demonstrate to Tom that we did this thoughtfully and with the consent of the membership. For health reasons I am personally taking myself out of the running (and it's a bit cheeky to assume I would even be in it in the first place, haha), but I feel like it would give GK a bit of peace of mind if we were to sort this relatively quickly. Your thoughts?
By the way, I was totally going to nominate you until I saw you do not want to.

Be well, GK, you will be missed. May the time pass quickly. I note that aside from the ketamine (for your own use) and perhaps the valium, none of the things you dealt with were terribly addictive (eg, no cocaine, heroin, morphine or other opiates...), or, if taken with care, dangerous. You dealt with relatively safe recreational material. This is worth considering... at a deep level, you meant no harm.

That's a fair description of my inner voice when modding something, haha... I am an enneagram personality type 8 sp/so with a 9-wing, which means I am the sort of Slytherin that plays well with others.  |

Leaving in 3 days, here is contact info for folks who want to write or want to read some of my writing as I push it out over the next decade. Thank you Tom. Growing up with your comic, with your characters, with your art, watching you turn your passion into your living... it's been an inspiration to say the least. Definitely something I will be working towards and drawing energy from as I make my own way. Blessings on you and your family. |
