Some people think this chapter was anti-climactic, I respectfully disagree. Yes, it seemed to slow down a lot those last few pages, but that was mostly because we are only seeing one page every couple of days. I just re-read the chapter and it moves along at a pretty good clip. Talking to Anja, the reveal, meeting Brinnie and the assumption that James is the father, meeting the Norns (which was Amazing I must say! Urd as older Kat is a stunning beauty, I love her calm confidence!).
The ending pages of the chapter do actually hint at a few interesting things, such as why did the Tic Toc always seem to hone in on Zimmy-Zims? Coyote having a hand (paw?) in all of this by killing the Tic Toc. And as others have said, why do the robots think it is older than the court itself? That is unresolved.
I adore how Tom has brought us back to events in Chapter one and ties so many things together. This is Kat climbing another rung or two up the ladder towards her ascension to godhood, or whatever-hood.
I do hope we get to see the Norns again and find out when/why Kat had to visit them repeatedly.
This chapter ended very anti climatically. I feel like time travel and saving Annie in the past felt too easy?
But I think we're going to eventually see what the first Kat went through. Because the first Kat was the one who was so sad she had to break time. I feel like that would be an amazing story to see unfold. It would also explain how Kat is like a deity in the ether.
there's always a cause to something it just doesn't have to be before the effect so far in the comic
