Like, I'm fine with Jack and Jenny not appearing again because that arc seems complete - Jack is fine, has moved on and dates a well-adjusted girl who is just kinda-similar to Zimmy in that they're both brunettes. Also, each in their own way, both magical. |

Oh I do know he hasn't forgotten, but it's just a shame. They used to be fairly important parts of the comic, Jones especially. I've just been salty since the "Anthony returns" plot because it's increasingly clear that characters like Jones - whose mystery and mentorship of Annie once seemed central to the comic - are absent likely due to narrative convenience and not some practical Grand Plan. It seems to me that Tom sadly has some trouble interweaving multiple characters for the longer continuous arcs like Anthony and Loup have been. Having story arcs being single comic or two comics at most helped to leverage that a lot. I mean, I wouldnt have minded seeing zimmy around the anthony arc since they have technically already met beofre and their contrasting personalties could have made for some nice interactions beyond just ysengrim reacting to what annies feels. right now the only extra characters we get to see and currently being mostly support and not havign their own arc are parely and mr dried algae eyebrows |
