Where do you get the third and fourth measured values from?
Terrible Boxbot thoughts? Robot voice? A drawn out "hellooooo"? This entices terrible thoughts... Indeed. I picture a nightmare. One where time is slowed down incredibly. Boxbot stands before you. Its "Helloooooo" goes on for hours and will not end. You try to run, to flee, but your movements are so incredibly slow, they are almost non-existant. You start to panic. You will die before you have escaped. Trapped in frozen time, your eyes unable to close, forever locked staring at Boxbot. Your ears forever ringing from its neverending wailing. Never ending.

It took 69 chapters to go from one Annie to two, but if we get four Annies in this chapter, then that will be an alarming increase in the Annie expansion rate. That is beyond exponential growth, which puts the current Annie equation at around Annies = e 0.011x (where x is the chapter number). Based on that, we should not see 4 Annies until the mid-120's, or 4096 until chapter 756. Edited to add: Getting four Annies today would would mean our equation is Annies = 1 + 6.0*10 -9 * e 0.2747x. We'll shoot through 4096 Annies somewhere in the middle of Chapter 99. If a Kat who lost an Antimony is created in the ether every time an Antimony is temporally shifted eventually they will reach some sort of quorum and begin to shift/create ever more Antimonies so the q of Antimonies would indeed expand exponentially. They'd meet in a quite not etheric pocket dimension and form a Council of Kats to recover their lost Annies, thus discovering that no Annie should exist in any timeline after the bridge fall. With that knowledge they'll create the Tic Tocs that would be responsible for the first shifted Annie, thereby designated as Alpha Annie, and ultimately teleporting all the others via an undisclosed wormhole device inside them. This will be enough to save all but one Annie since one of the birds will die in the ravine to save Alpha Annie. But that wouldn't matter because the one not to be teleported would be the Alpha Annie herself and will actually belong to the timeline she was created/shifted/saved... kinda.

They return from the forest to discover there's now sixteen copies of Boxbot waiting to greet them in such a manner.

You think there are only eight boxbots right now? May you be blessed, my naive child.

I would rather expect boxbot not having been able to get up onto a building, futilely trying to get up the stairs for six months. Or the mysterious person who installed the shield protocol not having installed it onto boxbot's hard drive.

Where do you get the third and fourth measured values from? The 3rd value is from the optimistic expressions in the comic that this chapter will yield two more Annies. The 4th value is from me forgetting to delete the data point that was used to generate the trend line.

Correct predictions get cookies. Super cool nerd overthinking for jokes --- that gets you a cake. A virtual cake's off to you, sir/madam.

Or the mysterious person who installed the shield protocol not having installed it onto boxbot's hard drive. According to the Gunnerkrigg Index we don't have any boxbot appearance after this one. So you can actually picture it being still there, being ignored for several years before the shield. After the shield override went online people would pass by and barely notice that silent, red eyed terrible robot, wheels rolling trying to get to a rooftop while still stuck in the same spot. And to that what would they say? - "Thank God that thing shut up!"
