I love fire Rey! Though with what we know from chapter 43: Quicksilver, Reynard feels constant guilt about trying to kill Annie, which he did because he wanted the fire elemental power. Now that he has it to some extent, how does he feel about it? I am excited to see how this plays out after the danger passes.

As nice as that would be, I'm more invested in seeing Annie finally find someone and I hope I'm not the only one. (Edit: not sure where Annie stands on the matter of buff green ladies, though) I do not see evidence of Annie being unhappy because of being single since that one page at the end of Torn Sea. Annie has never been one for showing her feelings, she's very much a chip off the old block in that. But we know she has them: she had a crush on that Anwyn guy during the summer holiday, and I thought that page at the end of Torn Sea was quite telling. She may not go around complaining about being single, but that doesn't necessarily mean that she's fine with it (?) |

BUT...that Torn Sea page does not mean she felt bad because she was single back then. It meant she felt bad because everyone was disregarding her in favour of their partners (remember how she thought she had lost Kat to Paz?). A feeling I can relate to. Being the only single person among couples can be pretty unfunny. But it need not occur to the person in question that the solution would be to get into a relationship themselves. On the contrary, all those pesky relationships do are take your friends away from you; and eventually making them unhappy too! Pft, who needs that?
The above paragraph might be biased and/or not entirely serious; or at least very subjective. As in, these feelings tend to quickly get forgotten once you fall in love yourself.

Wait, does Renard have access to Annie's fire powers now? He looks very excited about it at any rate! That was implied by the cool transformation page. Guess he learned flamethrower? Anyway, Rey's panel 1 expression is gold. Then there was also firewolf. What I saw Hah. Would be amusing. |
