These last three pages raise an interesting question. All three separated teams appear to be in the same place, specifically a particular wisp nest near one of the great trees. Yet they do not see one another.
This seems to indicate that either it's one extremely large wisp nest, or three very similar wisp nests, or...
Did the three teams end up in different timelines? Could it be that both Annies are now back in their original timelines? The little mini-panels at the end of the last two pages could be an indication that we readers are shifting between timelines.
Yet that guy with cAnnie seems to be aware of the existence of multiple Annies, which would seem to put them in "our" corner of the multiverse.
Time will tell (haha), I guess.
I think the fact that both Annies are calling the same Renard is a clear indicator they are all in the same timeline. Probably. There's still a slim chance the familiar-link would continue to work across separate timelines, but that seems farfetched.
I'm still curious about how the groups got so separated that they can't see or hear each other. |
