Okay, so here goes my first attempt. Go easy on me! Kat is building a body for Robot using Boxbot parts, but is finally overwhelmed with disgust. Robot tries to put the best face on it that he can, but even his kind and cheerful spirit is dampened. :-( I've never made something terrible on purpose. I feel... ashamed. I am sorry.

Ha! I didn't see Ulusses' page when I started on mine (the immediate previous post,) but they work so nicely together! I think I subconsciously wrote the page before his, so I'm bumping his image to follow mine. Nice work, Ulysses! I know what you mean about it taking forever. It's definitely worth it -- or rather, we are both terrible. A two-page story arc in this thread? For shame! (Anyone want to go for three, and do this page next? ) This took so long. I hope it's worth it.

You can pretty much do this to any page.

You can pretty much do this to any page. That was the original point of this thread! I noticed that people were ascribing a dozen different and contradictory mental states to boxbot in the comments and forum, and theorized that Tom had drawn him so perfectly blankly that anywhere you inserted that picture, it would soak up context like a box-shaped sponge.

haha nice. Though I should mention... that sponges are box-shaped.

Sponges are pretty terrible.

Sponges are animals without respiratory, digestive, circulatory, sensitive nor NERVOUS system. They should be plant. But they're animals. What. And you still can't use them if you're a vegan. Aw. (But somehow it's okay to eat a venus flytrap which is way more evolved, eats animals, but is a plant).

If we're going to get philosophical, does 'more evolved' = better?
If we're not, how do you eat a Venus flytrap? I'm guessing with pasta...

Gah, you know what I mean: I say "more evolved" for "more structurally elaborate".

If we're going to get philosophical, does 'more evolved' = better? People tend to think of it that way, but they're wrong. For example: Boxbot's design has evolved from the original series of robots Diego built, but he's so much more terrible than they are.

Ah, so Protoboxbot is not as terrible as Boxbot...who is terrible.

But if Boxbot is terrible, then he is also terrible in everything he does. But that would mean he is terrible in being terrible. But if you are terrible in being terrible, you are not terrible....WAAAAH! This is just as weird as: There is one lie in this sentence.

But if you are terrible in being terrible, you are not terrible....WAAAAH! As terrible as he is, he is not the best at being terrible... he's actually quite terrible at being terrible, which means he's even more terrible. (I can keep this up for a while!) The lie in that sentence is the word "lie"

AH.... okay the lie in that sentence is that there is no lie but then there IS a lie in that sentence which means there is no lie in that sentence... Somewhere, one of Mudd's robots just exploded.
