Time for an anime battle with 2x Annie combos Ooh, this is the Boss Fight Room™! So you also heard the music starting up. I just noticed this whole chapter seems weirdly like a metroidvania kind action platformer. Complete with The Unexpected Start™, The Scripted Event That Opens A New Path™, The Early Encounter With The Boss™, The Escape Sequence™, The Currently Unavailable Path™, The Opening Of The Path With A Power Upgrade™, The (literal) Buildup™ and finally The Boss Fight Room™ If this for some reason is a simulation, and I'm not saying it is, but if this is what is happening then it was definitely Kat's doing. You can't just put up a bunch of Video Game references and not involve Kat somehow! Perhaps he started being cold as Surma got worse and more of her spirit was siphoned into Annie, triggering the "multiple people" thing. Ooh, so it might be triggered by him "seeing them as multiple people" instead of actually "being two people". He wasn't awkward around Surma because he didn't know her mother and didn't see the transference happening. This way it's more like a normal psychological condition (e.g. autism) and less like an etheric condition (etheric autism) |

The necklace might still be important, though. Remember that Anthony has a strong tendency to fixate on tiny details. |
