Will you tell us when your birthday is? I have a suspicion, based on something in the comic. I'd like to hear your suspicion.

Will you tell us when your birthday is? I have a suspicion, based on something in the comic. I'd like to hear your suspicion. Awwww, but what if I'm wrong? Okay, I stick my neck out to get chopped off. With a 1/365(.24) chance of being right, I get a lot more for being right, than I lose for being wrong, right? I saw something in the comic that made me wonder if your birthday was the same as mine: September 21, because you used the numbers in a random place, which I might have done. And you seem to collect and use random information in a similar way as I do, except as a much better story-teller And the 113 seems like being a birthdate would be too obvious.

^^^ yeah, I'd like to know about the wings too. Coincidentally Dresden Codak is starting his Hob comic with the same: dresdencodak.com/cartoons/dc_032.htm But my real question is: do you really hate boxbot? Have you always hated him? I mean like hate, not like mild dislike. Not jealousy that he's more popular than you or anything petty like that. Hate?? Is that why you made him so short? Revenge?? Robots with decorative little wings are just cool. That's all there is to it. Like Kanchi from FLCL.

Well, I'm not sure where I would have used September 21st in my comic (I generally tend to avoid mentioning specific dates), but my birthday is March 10th. Shucks, I was hoping to be impressed with my intuitive sleuthing. March 10th, 1981, eh? I think that might have been the birthday of my best friend in elementary school. It's been a while, though. I was just saying, "hmm birthdays coming up in march, you know, I think everyone (i know) whose birthday is in march would particularly like Gunnerkrigg Court, I could buy some copies of the first volume.... That does lend some vague support to the idea that 113 is a birthdate." So yes a March birthday, but 11/3 is the day after your birthday, eh?...

The 11th of March does come after the 10th, yes. Doesn't mean anything though. Well, it might mean something to those born on the 11th.

Oooh! I have a real question this time!
Is Montgomery always so vocal? And might we see him again?

Oooh! I have a real question this time! Is Montgomery always so vocal? And might we see him again? Montgomery is about as vocal as any of the other robotz. However, it might not be clear, but he isn't making beeping and booping noises, he's actually saying "boop" and "beep". It's how he talks.

Hi Tom, I'm back with another question... not about the comic, but about the art. I think you've said it already, but I can't find where, so forgive me if I ask something some already did: How do you ink you work? Do you ink by hand? or do you do it on the computer?
Thanks
- Haora

How big is the school part of GC? Student wise, I mean. Excluding 6th form, there are 5 years at the school. Each year has 4 houses, and each house has 2 classes, with 15 boys and 15 girls in each. So around 1,200 students.

Huh. Small school, for such a large age range. Or perhaps that is just how schools are off across the ocean? (Is someone in Hawaii allowed to say that? England is, in fact, across an ocean, a country, and another ocean from me.)

Those numbers are pretty much normal for most schools in the UK.

If so, do all/most of the students carry on to it? neal: my secondary school was 1800, but that was with 6th form, so bigger than Gunnerkrigg Court, at around 1500. EDIT: because I can't do maths or read apparently ...

Not to go around correcting Tom or anything, but he only started using the brush pen recently on pages he hasn't posted yet. All the pages that have been posted to this point he did with only fineliners. (Just so people don't look at the past pages thinking he did them with a brush.)

Fine. Never mind. Enjoy your board. I shouldn't have butted in. What? Hey, no! Some of us appreciate your input! Now I will be watching to see if I can tell when the brushed strips start showing up. As a non-artist, I don't really know what the difference will be, and I'm curious.

Tom,
Is there any chance we get to vote on the final T-shirt design? (a-for marketing purposes; b-I like to vote; c-we get to see more than one sample)

Pfft, those are hardly comparable. Here's a harder one.
Pancakes or Waffles?
Think carefully on your answer.

Internet trumps all, I see.
I wish I had more serious questions for you, though. I'll try and come up with one, but don't hold your breath.
Thanks for settling the age-old pancakes/waffles debate, though.
