Are "Double [insert class name]" classes a real thing? For example, Kat and Annie were in Double Physics when Jones took Annie to meet Parley and Smitty, and Mr. Thorn reminded Eglamore that there would be Double Cross Country the next day.

I took it to mean the class was twice as long that day, so it was like taking two classes at once. But I've never seen that in real life, so I couldn't say for sure.

Yeah, Double [subject] means an extended class.

Mind if I ask your own first guess about what it was, msorb?
I first encountered the term in reading Harry Potter book, as in "Double Potions with Slytherin" -- and so I first thought the "Double" meant double the number of students as there were students of two different houses. Only later I realized it meant double the length.

Haha, I thought "double physics" were some sort of super-science that only Gunnerkrigg Court knows about.

Hi, I'm new here, so sorry if bumping a couple month old thread is considered bad... I love Gunnerkrigg! It's one of the best webcomics I ever saw! I just had a few questions and thought this was the best place to ask Tom. ;D 1. Could Coyote bring Surma back to life? (If not then why? If yes then why hasn't he?) 2. You said Coyote once did something unforgivable, does he ever regret this? 3. Would Coyote allow Annie or Kat to die if he could prevent it? 4. Does Coyote with any other motives than to create amusement for himself? 5. Does Coyote have a superior he answers to? 6. Does or would Annie's and Kat's friendship ever become something more? (Humor me, I'm curious, and not very good at reading relationships) 7. Can you sue a god for sexual harrassment? Thanks in advance for any answers you may give me, and sorry again if bumping old threads is illegal

Nothing wrong with bumping old threads, but Tom doesn't answer questions in this thread any more, for some reason. Formspring is the best place to ask Tom questions now. www.formspring.me/gunnerkrigg
