It is unknown at this point. will it become known any time soon? Not from the readers' point of view.

Does Tom play any musical instruments? (Also first post, woo). Sadly no. I recently picked up the guitar but the strange things I do with it are far from "playing" it.

Tom, I just noticed that Annie and Kat looks a little different now from how they did at the beginning of the comic. Is it just the normal evolution of your art or you are actually showing the natural growing up process that a 12-13 year would pass throught?
Because if it is the second, I'm certainly impressed by your attention to details.

A question about the Guides whom Annie was showing talking to in Chapter Nine, on the page that you linked to on the commentary for today's page. Two of them are easily recognizable as Hermes and the Grim Reaper. The other three are an ancient Egyptian figure, a two-faced figure with a Hindu look, and a snake-like being. Are they also "real" mythological figures (in the sense of being ones from books on mythology, rather than inventions of the webcomic)?

They will continue to grow up though.

The ones people think are the Grim Reaper and Hermes are actually Ankou and Mercury (Hermese wasn't a psychopomp). The Egyptian is Neith, the Hindu is Agni and the horned guy is Veles. They are all actual myths.

Wasn't Mercury basically the Roman version of Hermes anyways?

They shared many similar characteristics, yeah, but they arent the same.

I thought that Hermes was a psychopomp; he was portrayed taking the souls of the dead down to Hades. (He does it with the souls of Penelope's suitors, just slain by Odysseus, at the beginning of Book XXIV of the Odyssey.)

Looks like you are right about that. In that case Hermese and Mercury are interchangeable on that page since I don't label them specifically.

I like some anime and manga. The comics moreso. I think Battle Angel Alita is my all time favourite. What else have you watched/read?

Annie is slightly different now from how she looked in "red return" and she was slightly different there from how she looked in "fangs", changes are small but definetly presents, like with real children growing up. Kudos. Well, it is that, or I just imagining things.

The Matrix Trilogy, The 13th Floor and Paycheck for movies, For books, House of Leaves, Belgarath the Sorcerer, The Narnia Trilogy, everything by Douglas Adams, the Harry Potter trilogy(do not ask why), everything by Eoin colfer(don't ask) and The Historian. I don't realy know any of the english names for the rest of the books.

There are only three Harry Potter and Narnia books? Uh oh.
Also, don't be sheepish about reading Harry Potter and Eoin Colfer! Young Adult books are the best.

I don't watch movies. I don't watch TV anyway, so.. Those are the only movies I watched just to watch them. As for the books, I don't like how the HP books are written, and I thought I was just wasting time reading Colfer.

Er, not to condescend, but aijuan, could you be under the impression that "trilogy" means "series"? If so, you should know that a trilogy is a series with three books in it, although sometimes writers such as Douglas Adams use the term "trilogy" for a longer series.

The gardener's speech bubbles are a different color in chapter 6 than in chapter 14; was this intentional? I didn't notice Bob the snarky gardener in chapter 14...was he the one that chuckled when Reynardine made his comment about Ysengrim's ferocious gardening skills?
