OK guys, help me out here: Why is Juliette able to openly camp out by Arthur? Weren't they going to a lot of trouble to keep their relationship hidden from the court? It seems like all the shadow men are aware that Juliette and Arthur are long-time colleagues, if not friends. It's just their romantic relationship they're hiding, so maybe this comes off more as platonic concern. In addition to that, anything along the lines of 'team solidarity' or 'don't leave our own behind' or 'he's a friend so he wouldn't mind us poking around in his head cpu as much to see what the deal is with the other robots' or other half-truths to that effect would help do some convincing. Edit: Any update now, I'm half-expecting this recap to end with "So anyway, that's what's been happening for the past five years" You may not be far off...

I am pretty disappointed by Kat's parents. I know they are trusting her a lot, but leaving her behind in a possible war zone? Seriously? Call it plot necessity to ensure that one of the major threads can continue, without having to wait for the emergency to end (especially since we don't know how much of the remainder of the comic the emergency will take up - for all we know, the situation will be permanent, in the sense that it ends only when the story's about to wrap up). (Though nearly all the robots are currently in no condition to pay attention to Kat's work or Robot's sermons). That is a meta reason that is very probably right, but I want in-story-reasons.

Anthony Carver: secretly the Rap Battle Champion of Gunnerkrigg Court. No, he can't rap, but the cold precise strike of every burn hardly even needs the sick beats behind them. I am looking forward to him challenging Ysengoyote (Coysengrotein?) to a dance-off to decide the fate of the universe Court. I expect him to be an absolute master of "the robot"

She could also claim (possibly with some truth) that she is staying behind to study more about the shield programming (how it worked, who wrote it, operational parameters, etc. - since it was all a surprise to the Court)... in particular by studying the robot she knows best, Arthur.

That is a meta reason that is very probably right, but I want in-story-reasons. Yes, those are more difficult to come up with - it may be that this is another case where we'll just have to suspend our disbelief for the sake of the plot. (I've sometimes thought that it might have been more advisable to have the Court be all adults, with the children schooled elsewhere - maybe secret programs for etherically-promising children in every school in the UK, and they only come to the Court once they come of age, to join the staff. Of course, there'd be no story - or a very different one - in that case, and I suspect it would have been difficult to handle, in any case.)

This one at least can be answered. Seems to be two reasons: 1. They may have suspicions, but not time, while Tony excels at making people feel like they are entering an endless radioactive swamp. Since those guys are in too much hurry to argue, and if he isn't about to back down, they don't have any real options but to sigh and move on to the next place on their list. 2. In this situation Annie, given her position, had to be suddenly redefined as "potential powder keg" in the eyes of many. No one wants any unnecessary mess anywhere around someone on whom so much may depend.
