I bet when Winsbury and Janet's relationship becomes common knowledge, they will be the last to know.

You mean they'll be the last to know that everyone knows?
Yeah, i can totally see that.
I can also totally see Mort asking Annie out and eating cherries in the Handful of Dirt Room. Wouldn't that be the cutest thing ever? ^_^
If ghosts could eat, that is.

we're going to have to resolve this whole "ghosts eating" issue at some point! Maybe he can eat the ghosts of food that rotted away.... Uh, back on topic, that's exactly what I meant, Owl.

I've got the vision of Annie accidentally walking in on Janet and Winsbury during one of their romantic moments, and the two of them trying to force her to keep silent about what she'd seen - with Annie becoming annoyed with them for their assumption that she'd be a snitch (which she obviously wouldn't be) - and making it clear to them that she's keeping silent about what she saw because she's not a tattletale rather than because they'd try putting her in a full body cast if she told anyone else!

Yeah. I can definitely see that. But what would happen if Kat saw them? or Zimmy? O.O

Hmm. Who would win in a fight between Janet and Zimmy? Winsbury is not so tough, and Gamma would take him anyway (she is big).

My money's on Janet. ("Hell hath no fury....")

Depends. Is this pre-rain Zimmy or post? Pre, I would say Zim. She's so angry...but she might get really distracted by her visions. Post? I'd say Janet. Zimmy's too happy to really hurt anything bigger than a spider right now.

My money's on Janet. ("Hell hath no fury....") I'm not so sure. Janet's tough, but Zimmy strikes me as a born scrapper. After all, seems like she's been on the streets for a while as a runaway. She's shown a willingness to take on things much bigger than her. I get the feeling she's the sort who'd just keep getting back up, no matter how much she's knocked down, especially if she thought Gamma was in danger. And I doubt she's afraid of pain - she might even like it.

Yeah, Zimmy has my vote in a fight against anything. She even put Reynardine in his place, which Eglamore wasn't able to do...I think even if she was hurt really badly, she wouldn't know when to quit. I think I just re-stated mrw's post, my bad...so let's make this post worthwhile. Do you think shadow2 will be aging? The suicide fairies said he was young...

We don't know how quickly the members of his species age, so it'll be difficult to tell with him.

He didn't speak earlier, maybe he couldn't. Now he does. That could be a sign they change quite fast. It could just as well mean nothing, I suppose. Probably ages a lot faster than humans though, most things do.

Incidentally, I wonder if, when Annie's classmates first start showing signs of hormonal moments - and when Annie starts experiencing it herself - I wonder if she'll initially mistake it for some fresh paranormal force at work in Gunnerkrigg before the more worldly-wise Kat explains to her what's really going on.

ha, I can totally see that happening. "Kat, our fellow students appear to be under some enchantment."

After writing that, I remembered that Annie does have some awareness of that phenomenon, since she's listened to Kat talking about Mr. Eglamore, so she might not be entirely clueless as to what would actually be going on there. But I think that it fits in with her general character, how she's in her depth when handling the bizarre (whether of a fantastic or a sci-fi nature), but seems at times almost lost when it comes to more down-to-earth matters (as in being perfectly matter-of-fact when meeting the Minotaur, a dragon-like creature, or ghosts, but violent video games are another matter entirely).
