Love the comic, man! It is good to see the tech vs. magic relationship portrayed so freshly. It was a most pleasing surprise to find your comic in my home-town's library!

I love your webcomic in a nonsexual and highly flattering way! I love it both ways.

Dear Tom, Gunnerkrigg's Court: The move. Directed by Tim Burton. Yay or nay? Tim Burton is no good anymore. Henry Selick is a better idea. Also, movie, too short. Instead, an animated series. I cant see it being animated. Dont know why maybe claymation?

Clay animation would be fine I guess? Maybe we can get Neil Gaiman to get Tom Siddell in touch with Henry Selick???

I think Gunnerkrigg Court would make a great live action movie.

Hey Tom! Gunnerkrigg Court is without a doubt the best webcomic i have read to date. It has the best characters, the best story and the most original art of any i have read. Actually i enjoy reading your comic as much as i enjoy reading The Sandman or Watchmen, and i'd say that's something of a feat. Also i love mythology as much as you seem to Keep on the awesome work!

Okay, I've always been impressed with Tom's ability to draw hands. Many comic artists don't draw proper hands with 4 fingers and a thumb. The three fingered hand is the norm in many cases. One guy always drew his characters with their hands in their pockets, just to get around the whole idea. Well, "You draw great hands" is a strange complement so I've never mentioned it but Aaron Diaz of "Dresden Codak" wrote a good article about the importance of hands that lets me think my weird complement isn't so far out as I had thought~ Hey Tom! You draw great hands! Keep up the good work!

That article has some good points. For instance, I love taunting my dad by challenging him to get through even one sentence without using his hands.
The results are always entertaining.

That's true. Tom draws some nice hands. But his art is awesome in general. Tom! I love how you get simple art (with just the right amount of details) so effective.
Also, hands are tricky, but they are like everything else, really: Only takes practice. Never drawing them makes things look awkward after a while, and you won't improve if you give up. :c

Tom, I really like that you're willing to let the protagonist screw up and have to face the consequences.

Gunnerkrigg Court: The Animated Series. It must be made. The chapter structure lends itself nicely to be turned into short (under 30 minutes) episodes. I rest my case. Agreed. Totally agreed. I've been thinking about this for a while, actually. I would suggest making a movie of it, but the way it goes together in the pages would probably make for a very confusing movie - not to mention there would probably have to be multiple movies like with Harry Potter. People who hadn't read the comic wouldn't be able to appreciate it... but with a cartoon it would definitely be wonderful.

It's not that confusing if you read each chapter at once, rather than one page every two or three days. It probably seems more confusing than it is the latter way, because of the potential distractions from the side details (Boxbot, pop culture references, Tom's footnotes, etc.). If you read each chapter in book-format (with the footnotes missing), it's more comprehensible.

I offer this humble poem as tribute:
A man named Tom Siddell With a magnificent tale to tell: A fragile alliance Between magic and science Dark secrets beneath many shells
A masterful craft he displays Like Daedalus and his famed maze In each saga there lies A kick-ass surprise To set readers' minds ablaze!
So know I appreciate And truly don't wish to frustrate But if you could tell me The state of Book Three :] You're awesome. Have a good day, mate.
(Alternately, the first stanza can go like this, depending on how you say your last name:
A man named Tom Siddell Blah blah blah blah riddle Something something rhyme Something something time Do you happen to play fiddle?
...I hope you pronounce it the first way...)

I think it's the latter, so let me offer this verse:
A man named Tom Siddell Created a Court as a riddle A fragile alliance Between magic and science And so many caught in the middle

I thought this thread was going in a nice enough direction for me to pop in and use my first post to say: I love your comic and thankyou very much enriching my life; or atleast the parts of it where I should be sleeping rather than developing a crush on Kat... ehem. Cheers
