I'm sorry, your comic has a following among 4Chaners.
Anonymous posts the new comic page on the /co/mics and cartoons board as soon as it appears in GraphicSmash. The discussions sometimes get to be quite extensive, but they often devolve to fights between people who like how you draw and those who don't or into "shipping wars".
You have also been accused of making M-rated art of your own characters.

I'm sure they dislike my comic a great deal. That, however, is their business.

Well, I don't know for /co/ but for the reactions on /v/ they mostly love it. However they don't often talk about it because it's not vidya related, with the exception of a nsfw edit (which made me discover this comic, so, yay !)

... I'm so lost in this thread....
Anyway, a good spot to tell Tom how much I appreciate his job. I love the story, the characters, the art, and of course, I can't thank you enough for taking you time, money and effort making these so we can enjoy them.
Can't wait now for my book.

The only way I have ever been able to adequately describe your comic to non-readers is "It's kind of like what would have happened if Neil Gaiman wrote Azumanga Daioh."
Also, your use of central european languages makes me far happier than I should be.

Gunnerkrigg Court: The Animated Series.
It must be made. The chapter structure lends itself nicely to be turned into short (under 30 minutes) episodes.
I rest my case.

I went to some chan board or other once and saw things which would make baby jesus, and also probably adult jesus cry, so I try and keep as far away from the chanites as possible.
Hello Tom. I like your comic a lot. It's funny and cute and interesting and "ohh, what's gonna happen next?!"-y. It's pretty much black books, hello kitty, foreign languages and desperate housewives rolled into one. To me, anyway.

The only way I have ever been able to adequately describe your comic to non-readers is "It's kind of like what would have happened if Neil Gaiman wrote Azumanga Daioh." That is the most perfect description of GC I've ever read. i shall use it in future.

Dear Tom
Sometimes I think I make you annoyed with dumb forum posts, and for that I am sorry.
On a more complimentary note, I love your art, your characters, your story, and your crazy frigid beautiful blonde martial artist lady (who I guess fits under characters). Thank you for being a champion.

Dear Tom Sometimes I think I make you annoyed with dumb forum posts, and for that I am sorry. Actually I second this, I'm pretty sure I annoy him too. Oh well. Desperate housewives has the same "ooh, what's gonna happen next?!"-y characteristic as GC. (When I said that sentence, the idea was it was black books=funny, hello kitty=cute, foreign languages=interesting, etc) Also, watch more DH. It's pretty great.

Hey Tom. You've inspired me to be a better artist. I think so far, I've gotten better just by reading your comic. I've started to draw differently, and I'd say that your comic has shown me a lot of things which I never thought about before, as far as drawing, story, panneling, line width, backgrounds and coloring. You've got an awesome story here, you tell it extremely well and you've definitely got me hooked.

GC is without a doubt the best comic I have read to date, and I do quite a bit of reading. And kudos on the storyline(s), I reall enjoy the way it explains enough to give you an idea, and leaves the rest to your imagination. I love the art work too, Its not plain, and it's not over the top.."just right".
Does that make sense? I hope so.

For such a moribund comic(with psychopomps being major characters and all that) it is strange how few characters have died within the time of the comic.

I'm not sure if "Well that didn't go very well" is referring to Surma and Anja's conversation or to the comic itself.
Either way, I really enjoyed this chapter.
