Next we cut to Tony and Arthur in the other room and Tony is freaking out:
"Why did Kat bring my daughter here? What am I supposed to do?" "Just treat her with kindness and respect." "I don't know how! How am I supposed to do that?!" "People usually just do!" "Unacceptable!" "She's your daughter, you're supposed to know how to treat your own childen." "That's an unacceptable answer, Arthur!"

This page reminds me of this couple of pages from EGS, the NP section.

So now we are going to see Tony ask Arthur how he wants his new violet skinless penis to look like? Ahem. Of course I am only interested in seeing whether Tony can get along well one-on-one with a robot. Or whether he finally admits he is one himself. They are probably talking about how long Arthur's... beard should be. Hmm. A beard will look good on violet skinless flesh.

You've got a point there. This is a girl basically educated with homeschooling and books, who probably read quite a few medical texts while she was there. But Annie has shown to be remarkably bad with subtext and nonverbal cues (her father probably didn't help). She would probably know EXACTLY what they were talking about if they said it outright. I think it's thanks to Annie simply giving so little thought to that subject (the closest we've come to it so far was a brief crush on an Annwyn boy - and that was in the "Annie in the Forest" book rather than in the main comic) that she wouldn't think of it right away.

BY GOD THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT A PENIS I cannot stop laughing about this specific comment. I can only pray my coworkers don't ask me what's so funny.

The only thing funnier than today's comic was the comments. How does Anthony see the robots? I mean he wants to help Juliette and Arthur because he cares, and for a new hand but are there more reasons to help? Can we see Anthony get along with robots in a one on one situation like he can with one person? That is a good question. I imagine he basically grew up with them being subservient, but then he sort of rebelled against the Court, so...

Growing an entire body for a robot and transplanting their CPU into it has (probably) never been done before.

After applying the same reasoning to the last comic, it becomes clear why Tony wasn't thrilled about learning Annie helped out with the first design, and we discover that Kat is really bad at boundaries. Are you saying that Anthony was disappointed that his daughter didn't understand more about make anatomy? "Cheating is one thing, keeping a demon toy is okay to, but if that's seriously what you think a penis looks like, I have no daughter."

I'm with Annie here. On my first read-through, I thought Juliette was acting like that because of Tony's awkwardness being around Annie. Then I read it again and went, "Oh. OHHH. Uh-huh. Got it."
(Also, before coming to the forum, I correctly predicted what the title of this thread would be. Do I get half a cookie?)

Or simply because he was understandably upset about being good at what he's doing, yet currently useless - and here's an opportunity to do things "For !!SCIENCE!!".

Though I do find the last panel odd. I mean surely a female scientist would do the same for a fembot. It's not just a male scientist thing. Or in short:
#NotJustMen.

But they are a male and malebot about to deal with penis matters, so saying girl stuff or gender neutral stuff would be inaccurate to the situation. I get that PC culture is big right now, but not all pronoun usage is evil.

We have seen robot birds, but we haven't yet seen robot bees. Also, we haven't seen what Anthony's surgical specialisation was. Though prosthetics is a good bet. He might be exactly the right professional for the task. If he was a prosthetics expert you would imagine he would have gotten himself a slightly better fake hand... That's pretty good work if you assume he did it one-handed.
