Jones in panel #1? The hair's right and her jacket is tailored unlike the others in uniform. Actually we can't see enough to say that for sure. Shoulders look diff to me but the waist is fitted (like Juliette's).

Kat: "Do you, uh, monitor my girlfriend?" Shadow Men: "No, she's too normal for our standards."
(But actually, I think Paz would probably fall in their realm.)

It's good to have Basil mentioned again.
Something worth of note here is that they still haven't told us anything about what "The Shadow Men" actually does.
Also chapter icon?

BASIL!
And looking dark and moody, even with the goofy grin. How we've missed you!

Juliette said they monitor many students and it doesn't appear that there are many students in Chester. My guess is that they don't monitor "No Threat" Paz and they do monitor "Disruptive Ability" Annie, but I wish Kat would ask because it would help define the extent of their interest and limits of their capabilities. Juliette and Arthur were recruited based on their research projects and it looks like Kat will be recruited for similar reasons. Oh! If the shadow men are not connected to the parts of the Court that encompass the school, then the Headmaster is not part of the shadow men. Maybe Jonathan Lianwellyn is aware of the shadow men, but this implies that he isn't part of their organization.

All aboard the exposition train, choo choo!
Chapter icon spotted in panel 2.
I want to see more of the sections of the Court that don't encompass the school. Sometimes I forget that GC is a CITY, not a boarding school, and the school is just a very small part of what goes on. Also, I'm certain that the next page or the page after will discuss some of the reasons why this romance is Forbidden™.

who does the eye in the lower left of the last panel belong to? I think it's just a curl of Zimmy's hair. If not, then just another Zimmy mystery, I guess.

Sorry to quadruple post, but I had a thought. Of all the amazing creatures we've seen in the Court, the three that Juliette monitors the most extensively (as indicated by the page) are Zimmy, Gamma, and Baz. I mean, I guess it makes sense that they would monitor the minotaur who lives in the library, but still, you'd think that they'd be more interested in the shadow man, or in Renard, or any of the presumably multiple demons that wander the Court encapsulated in dolls (as indicated by Quicksilver). I also wonder if Juliette might monitor Anthony as well. We know from Annie and the Fire that the Court is probably keeping a very close eye on him, but who exactly would be responsible for that, I wonder?
I ALSO wonder who the student is in the bottom right with the spider on his head. I feel like he's got too pale hair to be Jack. If not Jack, then who? Does Zimmy have multiple "victims"?
You know what would be great? If this chapter climaxed with Juliette revealing something about Kat's robot/android nature by accident, having assumed Kat already knew. Like, "It makes sense that you create robot bodies since you ARE a robot and all. Uh, why are you so pale, did I say something wrong?" Because she totally is. A robot, I mean.

It might just be that these are the things Juliette personally is involved in monitoring. Other members of the shadow men are assigned to cover other creatures/topics.... You're right, that doesnt seem to be Jack. I guess there are other "sensitives" among the students who can be affected by Zimmsters hallucinations.... And yes, it's an interesting speculation if Kat is an android of some sort (pretty sure it has been raised before, maybe in the wildspec or mecha-angel topics). And yet perhaps still truly the product of her parents - her techie-rocket-tinkering dad and her magic-etheric-dabbling mom combining to make something beyond a basic robot.... and maybe not fully realizing how well they have succeeded!

When Coyote comes, he meets with him, so I'm imagining the Headmaster is more than that. Then again, he could be a figurehead. His seemingly bored demeanor in the past could mean: he has more Shadowmanly things to do, he's a mere actor who wants to go back to a golf course, or the ever present Court machinations.

SOooo, is that some sort of emblem on the spiders' back? I know some spiders have that, but it seems kinda.. specific.

I dunno guys, I'm fairly certain that's Jack. It even looks like his face is buried in Zimmy's hair, perhaps in a symbolic way.
And she already mentioned Shadow; maybe that's why he's not in the last panel montage.

Assuming Kat succeeds in making Arthur (and Robot) into a Real Boy, I can see a lot of other robots wanting a shot at it. They may have to open up a whole new house to hold the new students. It'll be like the Forest creatures that change bodies to become humans at the Court, which would make Kat--Coyote?

I don't think that's the revelation we should be waiting for. There's no real reason for Juliette to know about it. Until now it's something almost nobody aside from robots could see (and they all describe it in vague terms like "angelic" and "beautiful", so unless Arthur managed to be more specific, she won't have much to work with). Anyway, Kat already knows about her weird god-like persona through Annie. What Juliette does know about is Robot's secret cult around Kat's work. We have seen Arthur sneak around during Robot's evangelization's speeches. That's clearly one of the things they've been monitoring, and unlike secrets Kat already knows about, like Shadow, Juliette hasn't mentioned it yet. I've been waiting for that particular shoe to drop ever since those two showed up.

Yay, Zimmy and Gamma make an appearance! Though it is a bit odd to have them rendered in such detail while good ol' Basil looks the same as he did back in chapter 2. Goatee Baz would have fit the overall style of the panel better. [Llanwellyn might be] a mere actor who wants to go back to a golf course. Perfect. This is now my official headcanon.

Juliette said they monitor many students and it doesn't appear that there are many students in Chester. Hmm, what makes you think that? We have not seen many, but I just assumed that's because Annie is in Queslett. Thornhill seems to be a "normal" house like Queslett, but I can think of only one single student definitely from Thornhill to appear (Parley). I think he looks pretty spooky, actually, like some creepy undead version.
