Do you have a schedule for drawing on the weekend? Like say, doing a page on Saturday and two on Sunday, or drawing one day and coloring the next?

Doesn't he do all of his "drawing" on a computer program that's similar (Though LOADS better) to MS paint? I know Katie at AZ does that, she's even told people where to get the program.

I would ALSO like to ask: Is there any chance those of us who missed it could see the "So says I, Surma," version of the comic?
In addition: Shall we start a new thread for questions since this one is very long and many of the questions (see: snes) are unnecessarily snarky? Maybe Tom or a moderator can start one with some ground rules for question content and with an explanation that not all questions will be answered, so we don't get all this "attitude" making a mess of the place.

reyo: what on earth does that have to do with his page-creating schedule? o.O audacity: There's a reason this thread is titled 'Questions to Tom #2'. I really hope that we don't have to make this thread into 'Questions to whoever feels like answering #2'.

By the way, what's Coyote's accent? American. Native American or just American? Edit: How well-known outside of Gunnerkrigg Court is the 'permanent exchange program'? Does Gunnerkrigg advertise it in any way, and if so, how?

I really hope that we don't have to make this thread into 'Questions to whoever feels like answering #2'. I would imagine that it would take more time for Tom to physically draw each page and then scan them to the computer than it would if he were to use a computer program that's similar to MS paint. And who merely draws the outlines one day and then color it the next when you're using a computer program? Wouldn't you just have to use the "Fill" option which takes 3 seconds per color? I'd imagine that it'd only take a couple of hours to finish a comic (depending on drawing speed) while Max made it seem like it took him days.

Colouring is rather more complex than merely selecting a colour and clicking fill.

Hi Tom, I'm a long time reader and forum lurker - finally decided to register
My question: How much of the people and places in GC are based around your own experiences? For instance I think I remember you saying that the houses are named after the houses at your old school. Are there many things like that in the comic or is the rest of it pure fiction?
I hope you had a good time on your holiday!

Hey Tom, someone suggested that it may help if a sub-forum was created for the GKCFanProject so that individual matters could be attended to like Auditions in one thread, Questions in another thread, and other stuff that would prove useful. So, if it isn't too much trouble, I was wondering if such a sub-forum could be created...please?

Tom, I noticed this when I was re-reading GC. Did you notice or was it intentional that at the power station chapter, when Zimmy comes in and you put the song Stress by Justice on the bottom, the song follows the story? If you read it a little bit faster than speaking speed, when the power station goes all whack and there's crackling, there's this crackling song in Stress, and the song Stress ends when the people are shoved into Zimmy's world.
I thought it was kind of neat.

Did you design the entire website yourself? Does it use any content management system, like ComicPress?

It's been almost two weeks since Tom answered a question. Is he still recuperating from his trip, or was he serious when he said he'd stop answering these things?

Hi Tom, I had a few questions for when you have time, if you don't mind. Do you currently do any creative writing outside of Gunnerkrigg Court? If so, what kind of stuff do you write? Do you think up a lot of things about the GC characters (such as elements of their backstories or how they might react in a hypothetical situation) that don't end up on any specific page in the comic, but do help you to get a better sense of your characters?
Have you ever considered using the Oh No Robot comic search engine for GC? You might already be familiar with it (Achewood and many other comics currently use it), but just in case you're not, it lets visitors to the site transcribe dialogue and action so that others can search the comic archives. With so many cool ongoing story threads in GC, I thought this might be a good way for readers to look back at past plot developments.
Here's the site, in case you're curious: www.ohnorobot.com/
Thanks for your time!1, I do write other stuff, but not as much as I would like. 2, Yeah I think of lots of situations for the characters that will never appear in the comic. 3, I've considered it, yes. I can't imagine how someone could make a comic like this without eventually piling up a veritable archive of concepts and ideas that don't ever appear in the comic (or are only very lightly touched upon). It seems to be a story that hints very lightly at it's backstory, and giving very little straight information, which can be very tantalizing. But it's nice to get a big dose of history to gnaw on once in a while, which is why I think everybody is pretty excited about the current chapter. Stay awesome, Tom.

Tony the Cereal Killer? By the way, what's Coyote's accent? American. Why am I not surprized? America and Coyote are both gigantic douchebags.

We have a new thread, so let's begin flooding this one with poorly-hidden troll attempts and irritating nitpicking! "To nie było zbyt miłe. " Yeah, I know about citing an awesome webcomic and all that stuff, but we don't want to sound strange, do we? This is my fist and possibly last chance to play a gramar-nazi on this board and I won't let it go
