"Questionable Content" linked to "Gunnerkrigg Court". So many people went there that the site hosts made Tom take the site down temporarily because of the strain or something like that; we're fortunate that they even let him put it back up again at all.

That is a difficult one, because no matter how it's handled it will be seen as me adding my sexual pedo homophobic lipstick lesbian flaming homogay sexist lolicon rape fantasy stand-in mary sue fetishes to a comic about children. But then again, some people say that about all the characters anyway, so who knows? Jeez Tom, where'd all that come from? Do people email you with that kind of crap, or put it in the comments section or something?

Also, here's a couple questions for Tom, before I go; 1. What could Reynardine do if he jumped into a mechanical body? Robot, for example. 2. Would said robot "Die" after Reynardine leaves? 3. Does anything with eyes of some sort count as a body? Even, say, a computer terminal? (You probably can guess where my imagination is going, here) 1, He'd be able to use all normal functions of the body, but beyond that would be difficult. 2, No. 3, Anything with eyes, yes. However a computer terminal doesn't have eyes unless you drew some on. He'd probably be able to do your typing for you, but he wouldn't be able to access external information faster than the terminal normally could, so he wouldn't be able to take over the Internet if that's what you are getting at.

The site is back up because I pay more money to host it on a private server. Another link from Questionable Content or a similar site shouldn't take the site down again.

Which do you prefer: Anne Briggs' "Willie O' Winsbury" or Kate Rusby's "John Barbury"?

Anne Briggs' version. It seems more genuine.

There is no single place where they are found. Everyone has a different story. Ok, good enough. Thank you. For Wonderland, I'll take it as a 'no', then.

Anne Briggs' version. It seems more genuine. Which certainly fits in with your giving the name of the class troublemaker "William Winsbury" rather than "John Barbury".

Kate Rusby's version wasn't released until 2007. That said, alternate titles for the song, like "Johnny Barbary" and "Tom the Barber", date back at least to Anne Briggs' time.

How do you pronounce Ysengrin? Is it like "yes-in-grin" or "yi-sen-grin" or what? Which syllable does the emphasis go on?

First, love the comic. Wouldn't be curling this stupid pink wig if I didn't. x)
Is there any way an experienced user of a blinker stone could find out who owned that stone previously?

hey Tom, do all your characters have a kind of underlying humor in them? Even the more serious characters like Jones?
And also, some of us here are thinking of starting up an audio book style recording thingy. Would it be alright if one of us started up an account (that everyone whose involved can access) on YouTube for everyone to post their stuff? And when I say everyone one, I mean only those who know the password and stuff.

No, there isn't really any way to find out who owned a stone in the past, without asking around for previous owners.

And when I say everyone one, I mean only those who know the password and stuff. 1, Some characters are more serious than others, but any of them could end up being the butt of a joke, sure. As far as attempting humour themselves, some will be more succesful than others. Muut, for example, is pretty much all business, whereas Ysengrin might try to mangle out a joke if it's mean enough. 2, I don't have a problem with that. But I would prefer it if the account wasn't labeled in such a way that would make people think I was the owner of the account. "GunnerAudioBook", for example, would be better than just "Gunnerkrigg".

Ai, I have been shamed by this too. umm, Tom, Will Mort's Past Ever Be Revealed? Will The Bird Boy Ever Come Back (I mean, I assume not, but thought I'd ask)? Will Muut Ever Own A Shirt? 1, Maybe, but not as a full on story. 2, No 3, No A better question would be why Muut would need to have a shirt. (no need for answer. Muut never needs a shirt.)

No, there isn't really any way to find out who owned a stone in the past, without asking around for previous owners. Could a previous owner identify a blinker stone they owned? Do blinker stones have any distinguishing characteristics, ie is there some easy way to tell them apart? Or are they all identical?

They aren't all the same. They can be cut in different styles, but the shape Anja and annie have are the most common. Other than that they have no distinguishing features, or a memory of any kind.

First things first, I just want to say that I haven't had a favorite webcomic since Faith Hicks' Demonology 101, until now. Gunnerkrigg Court is the first webcomic (or anything else, for that matter) in several years to inspire me to do any kind of fanart.
So I have a fanart related question. I plan on either knitting or crocheting a Reynardine doll sometime soon. Would it be alright for me to write up a pattern for said doll after I figure out how to make it, and put the pattern up for other needlecrafting Gunnerkrigg Court fans to make their own Reynardine dolls?

Muut, for example, is pretty much all business, whereas Ysengrin might try to mangle out a joke if it's mean enough. On a related note, Muut's "We do not deal in electrical appliances" is the line that has the most potent mixture of humor and awesomeness, in my book. I laugh every time I read it in that chapter. It's so wonderfully dismissive! Ben

this may have been asked, but what would happen if Reynard tries to body snatch a corpse?

this may have been asked, but what would happen if Reynard tries to body snatch a corpse? Rey would be able to function normally, using the corpse as a body, until the body decays. After he's basically possessing...a rotten skeleton...ugh. Now i need brain bleach. On a side note: Tom, what would happen if he possesses an artificial body with eyes, and after the possession the eyes are removed? (example: he possesses a pencil drawing and the eyes get erased)

As I recall, if Reynardine were to possess something and, afterward, the eyes were removed, he would be trapped in that body until new eyes were put on it somehow.

Following the "Questions about Rey" pattern...
If he possessed a character in, say, a painting with multiple characters in it, would he have possession of JUST the depiction of the one character or the entire painting?

Okay, I'm not answering any more questions about Reynardine's body snatching powers. All you need to know about that particular power is in the comic.
