As far as I am concerned, the only other media Gunnerkrigg Court could be done justice in is a traditionally animated television mini-series. It can't be done any other way without cutting stuff out. I think I speak for all of us when I say nothing should be cut out of the narrative. Because no matter what way to do it, some parts of the comic just don't lend themselves to a 2-hour film. And having it in CGI or live-action would just not work. A mini-series would be quite fun, I think. However, I'm not sure who'd air it; as far as children's cartoons go, Gunnerkrigg Court strikes me as more serious and subtle than your average, (at the rate our current cartoons are going, that might be a good thing) and yet it may not be "gritty" enough to be entirely labeled "adult". Regardless, I'd certainly see it. The fact that it is a more sophisticated tale suitable for most audiences is what draws me to it!

Well I think we shouldn't underestimate childrens taste in television, I know that when I was a kid I loved watching the Simpson's even though I didn't get any of the political humor. I bet GC would attract all kinds of kids for the adventure and fun characters, even if they don't get the whole alchemy bit or the more complex parts of the narrative.

I thought of a question about a topic I've seen bandied about the forums since I joined... But I don't know that it has ever been answered... So I figure I'll go directly to the source.
Does Annie know she has a scar that only shows up in Etheric circumstances? I know she remembers the wound, and knows it disappeared by the time Kat got there... But to my knowledge the only person to acknowledge it so far is Zimmy, and that was brief, and was stopped halfway through.

Annie doesn't know she still has it, no.

Well, no one's formally asked it yet, so: In today's strip www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=520, is it Reynardine speaking, or Annie-narrator? I think it's the former, but the quote sounds very much like Annie's way of speaking. Ben

It's reynardine speaking to Annie. There is no balloon tail because the voice isn't coming from his mouth.

Annie doesn't know she still has it, no. Will that cut ever heal? Does it harm Antimony in her real and etheric self? Is the guy looking in the telescope at the page before all the guest comics supposed to represent you? I just figured it was because of the comics starring you and Tea at Digital Hills. Does Tea have a real-life equivalent(sister, girlfriend, colleague...?) or is she merely an alter ego or imaginary friend?

Not sure if this has come up before, but are blinker stones common in the Gunnerkrigg universe?
And this is probably straying into plot territory, but can humans make them or do they all come from sources like Mort?

That is to say they aren't unheard of, but you don't really see them around that much. Where they come from is unknown.

So, as common as members of the entire set of gemstones, or as common as a particular kind of gemstone? Speaking of which, are there different kinds of blinker stone, or are they all the same?

1, She only speaks English fluently, and a few others non-fluently. 2, Obviously I'm not going to be answering that question. 3, No, she never left the hospital. 4, Because she can't be sure of everything.

What's going on above Anya's hand, in today's penultimate panel? There's a weird box with a flesh-colored line coming out, and I can't tell what it is. It seems to be hovering in midair. Maybe I just don't know enough about the tattooing process, but even when I zoomed the image in, I couldn't tell what it was.

It's one of these: It is a tattoo machine.

That looks complicated and incredibly frightening. At least Anja knew what she was doing. Didn't she?

Because anyone who knows how to use one, or is able to project their mind in the same way will be able to spot you and you will be caught out. For example, Reynardine caught Annie spying.

Are Annie and her class still going on adventures with Dr. Randy Disaster? Will we ever see the good doctor again in the comic?

I just had a thought: what if Dr. D is the person heading the Court camping trip?
*queue ominous music*
I sincerely hope we do see the doctor at least once more before the end. It would be hilarious to see how he regularly interacts with his co-workers, or whether or not he just acts normal outside of his "classes".

Did Annie ever leave Good Hope to help the psychopomps? 3, No, she never left the hospital. Like, ever? Not even a quick trip down to the store for a slushie? Or to the library for a book? Or to the movies? Picnics? Nothing? So the only people she knew growing up were doctors, nurses, and sick/hurt/dying people? ... that's depressing, man. And where the hell did she learn throws if she was stuck in a hospital for ten years?

Though being found out is really a danger of spying in general. I guess what I'm asking is why is it so dangerous to be exposed on that plane of existance? Is annie in more danger around reynardine there then she is in the physical world?

If you are holding a blinkerstone in your hand, can you use it to see things around you in the ethereal plane?
Can a person eventually learn how to do that without using the stone?

The punchline of the page is that Annie thought she could be near to Reynardine by using the Blinker stone, but that wasn't the case, since Renard could easily see her.
