He put himself in the way of danger to knock Annie over, yes. Though his current body wouldn't be completely destroyed if it was skewered by Ysengring, so he wouldn't have died.

Please consider Tom!
This is my question (apologies if its been asked before but i couldnt find it), It doesnt have to be answered but I must know, I shall attempt to word it as vaguely as possible with many possible answers in the hope of getting a slight hint...Kat Donlan, Mr. Eglamore, Anja Donlan, Ms Jones and Donald Donlan.
Are they *all* completely biologically 100% human?
A yes or no would suffice.

Kat Donlan, Mr. Eglamore, Anja Donlan, Ms Jones and Donald Donlan. We all know you're really just asking about Jones

We all know you're really just asking about Jones But we all saw how Tom answered the question. A collective gasp indeed. With respect to today's strip, what causes the color in Annie's imagination to bleed out, save red? Seeing Annie's eyes washed to grey is quite beautiful and considerably haunting. Ben

I finally got my copy of the book today, and noticed that all of the title pages were on odd-numbered pages and all the bonus pages on even-numbered pages - without ever one "filler page" in between to ensure that. When you were drawing each chapter, did you deliberately plan the number of pages for each chapter that way, or is it just a neat coincidence? (Since there are fourteen chapters in all in the book, and it would be too much of a coincidence if so many were arranged that way, I think it's the former, but I'd like to make certain.)

No, I planned it that way. I wanted all the chapter pages on the right hand side.

Did you plan out every single appearance of "the scar," or did you ever do a page and then went, "oh, wait, she still needs her scar here!"?
From a technical perspective, is the scar a helpful way to clue readers in to something that's... not quite right, but still real?
Also, is there any hidden meaning to the scar, some significance beyond being, well, a scar on her cheek that never really seems to heal?
Insert your own question here?
Edit: By technical perspective, I mean, like, forgetting about the dialouge and everything and just using the art to get the point across.

Zimmy probably only needs to use telepathy when talking with Gamma, but does she understand/speak Polish as well?

No, she doesn't know a word of Polish.

Tom, what strikes me is the lack of religion at the Court. In a universe where Gods are so prominently present, I would think religion would be all all over the place. Is there a leading religion at the Court, and are there places of worship like temples or churches?
(of course, if you can see Gods and speak with them, you do not have to believe in them, but it's a question that struck me the other day)

Questions about Zimmy and Gamma:
1. Where did Zimmy and Gamma meet? 2. Where did Zimmy grow up, if not Poland? 3. When did Zimmy and Gamma enroll at the Court? Was it about the same time, before or after Antimony? 4. Doesn't Gamma understand English yet?

Zimmy doesn't really like her learning it.

Tom, how long is your comic buffer right now, and do you add to that on a steady comic-per-comic basis or do you work on several at once and 'release' them in batches?
And for a second question, did you ever go by the name Thomas or have you always shortened it to Tom?

In Chapter Eleven, we read that Gamma's surname is Czarnecki. Was this inspired by William Hope Hodgson's Carnacki the Ghost-Finder?

And for a second question, did you ever go by the name Thomas or have you always shortened it to Tom? I'm still about three months ahead. I do three pages a week at the weekend, sometimes more, sometimes less. Thomas is my official name, but it's easier to just say Tom.

1. About how many copies of Gunnerkrigg Court have sold so far? 2. Will there be a volume 2 of Gunnerkrigg Court in printed form? If so: 3. Will it cover Antimony's second year at the Court as volume one covered her first year? 4. Will it include Kat's letters from the summer? 5. Have you decided what it will be called yet? 6. Will we have to wait long after she completes her second year for it to be printed?

1. I don't know. 2. I don't know. 3. No, only the first half. 4. I haven't decided yet. 5. Yes. 6. If it gets printed, no.
