...can't remember if this was asked...
Do the shadow people have genders? and if they do, is shadow 2 a shadowboy or shadowgirl?

Should we assume that when Reynardine is not seen in scenes like the ones that occur during classes that he is in Annie's bag, or should we assume he was left in Annie's room?

Should we assume that when Reynardine is not seen in scenes like the ones that occur during classes that he is in Annie's bag, or should we assume he was left in Annie's room? Annie usually leaves him in her room with instructions to not cause trouble or make noise.

Thanks for the answers. Just out of curiosity, how much did Reynardine change from your first conceptual idea to the current character?

If Annie gave Reynardine an order without any expiration - say, "always pick cherries on Wednesday" - and then permitted him to take another body, would the order still bind him or are all bets off as soon as he's no longer owned by her?

Thanks for the answers. Just out of curiosity, how much did Reynardine change from your first conceptual idea to the current character? He's exactly the same as how I first designed him.

The order would only continue to be valid if the new body was also owned by Annie. Otherwise he can do what he wants.

Does something stolen become the theifs property? like, if rey were to possess the picture, would he be under Annie's orders, or the Donlan's orders?

www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=263The second panel contains what seem to be slight alterations of both the ubuntu and the debian logo. Those are both linuxes and ubuntu is debian-based. Did you draw this symbol with that in mind or is it just a weird coincidence?

Huh. I would have expected the first Reynardine version to be one that inhabited a toy fox rather than a wolf. I'm glad you decided to avoid that big coincidence.
Reading the speculation about the recent strips I have to ask something. Are you pleased with how conflictive the readers' opinions are about Reynardine's interest on Annie, or are you bothered because there's no general consensus yet as to what Reynardine wants?
I would guess that plot-wise the development of this relationship (whatever kind if is) will take place over many storylines but right now you got readers boarding trains heading in opposite directions on the same set of tracks. Some readers see him as paternal while others see him as being romantically interested.
I know I'm asking too many questions but I tend to over analyze anything that is new to me and that I enjoy such as your comic.

That's up to them, though. Doesn't bother me none.

Do you know when the book will be ready to be released? And was Jones taught at the court?

Not sure whether this has been asked already but... what's the story behind Anja's eyes, that they're all black like that? It doesn't seem related to Zimmy in any way. Is it connected to a plot point somehow?

With rodays strip, that logo on the Student transfer page. Is that the official logo of the court, or is that the logo of their administration department? I would have expected their logo or seal to be fancier than that.

It is a logo printed on a form.

Perhaps a little silly, but does Anja ever open her eyes? I don't seem to recall seeing them open. I figure this is the way you chose to draw her, and not some...bizarre plot twist, correct?

I was curious:
Did Surma keep in contact with Donald, Anja, and James while she was in the hospital?
And will we see Basil the minotaur again?

No, they didn't know where she went when she left, and she didn't contact them.
I dunno if we will see Basil again. We probably will.

Does Reynardine's possession of someone affect their lifespan? Like, do they live longer or shorter than they normally would?

To reply to your answer Tom:
Will the subject of why she didn't contact them be touched sometime in the story? Or, can I assume it has to do with whatshisface ( annie's father )?
And squee to Basil! xD I was afraid he was forgotten!
