This isn't the dress, but I figure the colours would be something like this.

Is that a scar under Eglamore's left eye? If so, is that from an injury he received sometime between chapters 14 and 17? It's just a mark on his face.

[Gosh that is such a beutiful picture] Is Antimony your favorite character character through and through, or is there one you prefer more to draw, or something else? Yeah I like Carver the best, though I have a consistently hard time drawing her.

Questions: 1. Are there GC-characters which are based on a real life person? 2. What do you think/do when you read (negative) comments regarding your art? Do you think they're helpful or do you just ignore them?

Sorry I modded your post. Bad timing.
1) The characters aren't based on anyone in particular.
2) I think I should be a better artist.

In the USA physical contact between teachers and students is greatly restricted in many schools no matter the circumstances.
If students are fighting the teacher is supposed to try to separate them verbally and if that fails, they calmly await the security guard or call for police. Even during medical emergencies there is supposed to be a barrier. If a student is wounded and bleeding the teacher is first supposed to don disposable gloves before trying to stop the flow of blood; if administering CPR then one of those mouth-guards should be used. Adjusting a student's clothing is strictly forbidden and if witnessed by another teacher would probably result in some sort of formal reprimand.
Are things the same way in the UK? In GC?

Maybe. However, this comic is not real life.

So, was Eggers really breaking a Court's code of conduct there, or did Jones simply throw him off balance with her comment?

He just didn't realise what he was doing, that's all. It's supposed to be a funny moment that just happened.

Are things the same way in the UK? In GC? I cannot answer as to whether GC conforms to the current guidelines in place in UK schools, but in my experience I am aware that teachers are strongly discouraged from touching pupils at all, under basically any circumstances. While I am not aware of the rules regarding genuine emergency situations like the need for mouth-to-mouth resuscitation or breaking up fights, I can comment on everyday situations (or at least, how it was in my secondary school). Giving a hug to a female student who has recently lost her mother and is crying her eyes out is pretty much forbidden, as is giving a jubilant pupil a requested high-five. No contact. Based on these experiences, I'd assume the rules are pretty similar to yours. Hope this helps somewhat.

Hope this helps somewhat. Yes, many thanks to both you and Tom for answering my question. You've helped me place that very entertaining comic moment in its proper context.

Something that's been on my mind for a while: Did Kat get a chance to see Jeanne as she was flying in before Jeanne fled?

No, Kat only knows about Jeanne from what Annie has told her.

Which character is the most fun to draw?
EDIT: Also, is Eggers's shirt chainmail or just some sort of skintight fabric? Just out of curiosity.

I like drawing Kat, but Coyote is interesting to draw too.
Eglamore is wearing a scaled shirt.

I understand why Tom would not want to answer to this, but here goes anyway. Have you introduced all the "main" characters already? There's Annie and her parents and friend and mysterious sidekicks and the guys from the opposite side (can't say bad guys), are you still going to bring in more characters who have some sort of relevance to the main plot?
Also, what would have happened to the suicide fairies if they had killed themselves? Since it would have been cheating, would they have just stayed dead or received some sort of penalty later?

As far as main protagonists, the core cast is pretty much there now, but there will always be characters coming ang going, some more important than others.
If the fairies cheated they'd just die, I suppose.

The etymology of Gunner's Crag/Gunnerkrigg suggests that the area has or has had defensive or military significance. Is this true or just baseless speculation/missing the point as always?
Edited for clarification. I make no sense.

That reamins to be seen, really. However it's not really a plot point that is worth spending a lot of time on.

It's equally possible that "Gunner" is a variant of "Gunnar", a Viking name. There was a strong Viking presence in northern England and Scotland during the latter Dark Ages; for all we know, some Vikings could have settled at Gunnerkrigg at one point, and it was named after their leader. That's just a speculation of mine, though.

An unusual question that probably has been asked before, but for which i did not found any answer: Tom, do you believe in a religion, and if so, which?

I do not observe any religion.

Tom, are you in any way related to Alice Liddell?
Have you come back from beyond the grave to teach us things?
(stranger things have happened, remember that cursed teapot?)
