Already answered in the old answers thread: The ones people think are the Grim Reaper and Hermes are actually Ankou and Mercury (Hermese wasn't a psychopomp). The Egyptian is Neith, the Hindu is Agni and the horned guy is Veles. They are all actual myths.

My question is releated to This: www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=157 page. During my third re-reading of the archive (this time, i'm using GC as an english teaching aid like pudgimelon, hah) , with a little help from me being italian, and from wikipedia, i identified the Psychopomps as, in order: Neith (Egyptian), Ankou (Breton), Agni (Hindu), and Mercury(Roman). But i cannot identify the horned snake-tail guy in the lower-left corner talking to Annie. Who's he? He's revealed all their identities before. Here you go.Edit: Beaten and hard.

thank you both very much. speedy and effective.
EDIT: I've come up with another question: who were the MIBs in page 193? Do we know them? Will they be important in future issues?

Where did you first learn about Reynard the Fox and Ysegrinn the Wolf?
I very much suspect this has been asked before, but I could not find it using the search function.

This could sound kinda silly, but I'm curious. Since Kat is fan of the GTA series, which games of said series have she played?

Is the way you draw Anja's eyes meant to be a stylized reflection of how she actually looks (or maybe that she talks with her eyes closed a lot)? Or is it entirely idiomatic? To me she looks kind and cheerful, and maybe sort of distractible. I like her a lot! But the other characters' faces move around on the realistic - stylized scale depending on the situation, whereas it looks like she's doing the iconic anime smiley-eyes thing all the time. Any reason she's special?
btw, I didn't get to add a comment to the donation I sent today, but I want to thank you. Your story is exciting but well-paced, with an interesting and lovingly characterized cast. I read through the archives again this weekend and decided I shouldn't keep waiting for the return of personalized sketches or the release of the book. I'll be happy when one of those happens (or when I decide again that it wouldn't be right to keep waiting) and I get to send you money again!

Tom are you going to do any new wallpapers of Kat and Annie in your current style rather than Annie's earlier elongated head design?

I have a general eye motif throughout the comic, but having to explain it would be missing the point. Also, thank you very much for your donation.

Is Zimmy's statement in the last panel of todays comic reflective of your earlier declaration to want to get out of your town?

Does it seem reflective?

Tell us Tom, what do Zimmy and Gamma do to relax? Do they play chess? Read books? Does Zimmy even have a concept of free time?

Is Gamma aware of how the way she acts with Zimmy looks to others? Or does she just think it's normal, and none of the others are being friendly enough with each other?

Is Zimmy's statement in the last panel of todays comic reflective of your earlier declaration to want to get out of your town? Probably the other way round. But who cares. It made me smile to see this statement appear in the comic.

Tom, is the building in panel 5 of Monday's comic a reference to a real-world building, or is it all you?

There is a building like that in town, yeah.

Hi Tom What has been your favourite chapter to draw? And to write? That is, assuming you have one. Thanks!

Chapters 18 and 20, I guess, of the recent ones.

Is there a plot point anywhere in the future that you look forward to revealing because of the discussion it will cause (or for any other reason)?

I suppose the answer would have to be yes.

Did you edit the art for chapter 6 recently? I reread the archive over the weekend, and I didn't notice the cherry tree scenes being nearly as bright and shiny as they are now.
(yes, that means I've been rereading the archive a second time. It's a great, meaty story and I'm rather desperate for distraction right now...)

No, I've not changed anything in that chapter.

When you start drawing a comic what do you draw first? The panels? The people? Faces? Where the speech will go?
And when you draw characters what part do you draw first? I always draw the cheek of the side of their face which is away from the viewer, don't know why.
