Maybe Parley can take this chance to talk to Jeanne before she goes all rage ghost. Going for the sword would be too dangerous if Jeanne can just make another appear or move the sword on its own.

Am I the only one... rooting for Jeanne?
But that comes from this little feeling that Jeanne is gonna go 'oh okay time to be serious' and then all hell shall break loose :V

I am finding the update difficult to handle. yes Jeanne is a vengfull ghost that was going to kill George given the chance. But we have seen Jeanne as a friend, as a lover as a real person. And George running her through with the sword was just, well kinda unbearable. On the other hand Jeanne is already dead. she can't die more can she? The dead can be excorcised or tricked into moving on but not killed again? Unless George kills the physical manifestation of Jeanne and she becomes disembodied like a shadow roaming the shores without being able to interact with anything physical. Parley didn't run Jeanne through. The page composition is a bit weird, but she hit her with the pommel. No stabbing was involved.

Or, jeanne could be like "Ok, you won. Get me a psychopomp and I'm outta here."

Or, jeanne could be like "Ok, you won. Get me a psychopomp and I'm outta here." I don't think Jeanne is: 1. Thinking clearly. 2. Free to do what she wants.

Somehow I doubt that Parley's luck is going to last in the next page, though... Maybe Jeanne is left-handed?

Maybe Jeanne is left-handed? Maybe George is, too.

In response to all the comments claiming that Parley's strikes with the pommel are non-lethal: NO. THEY ARE LETHAL.
There is pretty much NO NONLETHAL strike you can make with a blade!* The pommel strike is designed to injure or kill. If she struck with the flat of her blade, it would be to injure or kill. If you hit someone in the head with a rock, there is a very real possibility that you will kill them. Parley is striking with the pommel of her blade because it's most effective in close combat for her large sword. Also, kudos to Tom for showing realistic sword combat. Yes, you do grab your Big Sword by that non-sharp bit after the cross-guard if you're going into close combat. (Source: Binge-Watching Sword Experts and Historians on Youtube Please Help)
Honestly, I don't know why there aren't magic guns. Or magic tasers, which are at least intended to be nonlethal.
*Unless you're unscrewing the pommel to end your opponent rightly.

I'd also like to remind all y'all complaining about how well George is doing that it's a classic Shounen Fighting Manga trope to have the underdog protagonist get in a series of good hits and look like they're winning for a sec before the super powerful antagonist they're fighting gets up and Gets Serious.

Separating Jeanne from her sword (or, alternatively, cutting up her sword into pieces) might be a proper way to use Coyote's Tooth.

Separating Jeanne from her sword (or, alternatively, cutting up her sword into pieces) might be a proper way to use Coyote's Tooth. I would be interested in seeing what happens if the Tooth is used to separate Jeanne from her sword (or cut a piece from a ghost in any sort of way, actually). I suspect it would transform the sword into a unique artifact. Too bad that will probably not happen.

I love the way Jeanne fights. She is so powerful yet so feminine; while Parley is wearing trousers and what have you, clothing that does not restrict her movement, Jeanne moves gracefully with incredible speed in some kind of poncho dress thing. In the illusion, she was ready to begin swordfighting despite wearing casual clothes. Jeanne is lethal even when wearing uncomfortable, restrictive, formal clothing.
In real life this would never ever work (you'd trip over yourself) but since this is fantasy I can only assume that Jeanne has a specific style that she devised on her own that would let her do this, and that she is perfectly comfortable running around in a long and flowy dress. She may also wear dresses that are made of a less restrictive material, allowing her to move forwards and backwards without getting caught up in the fabric?
Idk whatever it is, it's feminine and strong and beautiful!

This doesn't feel right. Something bad will happen soon, I'm sure. There are black blotches on Jeanne's dress. Ominous! Well, the black blotches are the logical first step on a classical ThisIsNotEvenMyFinalForm moment for Jeanne. So, Parley, it was nice to meet you.
