As was noted on this forum in days of yore, one of the benefits of being held back is the snapping up of them early. Several of them, possibly. Perhaps, Tom is about to make a light novel. That brings to mind the question: What would Annie's harem anime be named? Flame for Senpai? Hot Days of Youth? The choices are endless. Clearly it would be some play on Carrying a Torch

More like, they noticed Senpai You hit me with a door. I'll tuck my hair behind my ear and give you... a suave look.

Annie has officially become the hot upperclassman. ...who's technically in your grade but still.
You know, we haven't found out how her new peers see her, what with her not really socializing with them and the story not focusing on them...but something tells me her reputation precedes her. And it's less 'dimwitted girl who was held back', and more 'rebel without a cause with flame powers'

And it's less 'dimwitted girl who was held back', and more 'rebel without a cause with flame powers' I'm sure the fact that she ran away from the Court to spend the summer in the Forest and then became Forest Medium is public knowledge. So that by itself would give her a reputation.

More like, they noticed Senpai Well, as far as English grammar goes, it works both ways. Senpai [been] noticed.

While Annie's expression in panel 5 really is super-cute, I actually like panel 2 even better.

I'm just gonna be honest and say that Annie's face has looked unnatural somehow in the last chapter or so.
I'm not sure why - I can't point to any specific quality; her eyes just look misaligned somehow. Has anyone else noticed this?

What was the significance of Annie tucking her hair behind her ear like that? We spent most of the panels on the page watching her do that and then show off the result, so there must have been some significance... yes?

She just got bonked on the head, albeit accidentally, and things could've gone quite differently if it had happened before, while she was so stressed. The slow-reveal showed that she was being very resilient, and very much in control of herself. Also, an incredibly beautiful series of images, well worth his efforts and our attention.

Overthinking things? In this forum? Naaah, surely not!
