Totally makes sense. Keeping with current canon, I'm guessing they'll use the lightsabers a few times?

Reposting this in Wild Speculation: Had an interesting thought while typing this up: What if shadow wasn't cut from the ground by the tooth, but reverted back to the original shadow people form after coming into contact with a part of his creator that had abandoned his people long ago, leaving them to fade into shadows? Could this be one and the same? If you mean that cutting him from the floor caused him to revert to the form of the old glass eyed men, that would be possible too. But what I meant was that he wasn't cut at all. He came in contact with the tooth-blade and changed. Coyote abandoned them and they became flat shadows. He might be the first to come into direct physical contact with his creator again. Admittedly that seems unlikely, as the rest of the shadow people live together with Coyote in the forest. They were "born from the body of Coyote". The glass eyed men might have some weird connection to Coyote and thus to the tooth. Coyote explicitly forbid Annie from talking about the blade in the forest by danger of losing her hand. Additionally even if he was separated from the ground he was on, the blade didn't actually cut Shadow himself. And he was pressed up against the blade. We do not know how the blade interacts with other "etherstuff", but it has been implied that it should cut basically anything. So why did it cut Shadow from the floor, but not through Shadow himself? It is farfetched and really makes no difference in the end I guess, but it is something to think about. And this might belong more into the Wild Speculation thread... Another thing I initially missed: The old Glass Eyed Man is holding a fish, he has to eat. So does Shadow after he "peeled". The current shadow people do not. This indicates that he really did revert to the form Coyote created back then, instead of being a completely new occurrence.

"Why is Ysengrin referred to as "General"? This is simple: he controls all the trees of the forest, remember; probably all of them at once too. Imagine what would happen if Jeanne's ghost was freed.

Imagine what would happen if Jeanne's ghost was freed. I have a feeling that heads would roll, starting with Mr. Llanwellyn. There would also be an epic confrontation with Jones. Un-damageable being vs. un-hittable being.

Sounds like Jones would 'endure' a lot. I don't think she would intervene the war between the forest and the Court in any way, she would just leave for a while a century or two. Who would be this confrontee? She has no obvious enemies. The only one to think would be Ysengrin, for some wicked reason that has not been hinted the slightest yet. I agree: if something was to harm her, the tooth-sword would, but who would wield it? I could see Coyote wanting to get rid of her, but if that was the case, he could have done it very well by himself; now he maybe no longer can't.

One thing about Smitty: If he and Parlye were to bone, houldn't that mean the condom would always break? Now for my theory- Jones is a mythological figure from a religion that has not come into existence yet. Too tame! Jones has created the religion herself: chapter 40 shows that she has not kept her true form terribly secret from anyone she's currently accustomed with: she told Annie right away, Eggers should know, the Samuel guy of the estate knew. Give several billion years and she has had plenty of "believers".

I still hold to my theory that Jones and Coyote are the real players here. They aren't kings or powerful queens, they stand behind the board. Only difference is that Coyote won't stop reminding you of his incredible game board flipping skills.

Imagine what would happen if Jeanne's ghost was freed. Sence this apparently requires removing the fancy arrow in the first place, presumably she would have something to do. I have a feeling that heads would roll, starting with Mr. Llanwellyn. There would also be an epic confrontation with Jones. Un-damageable being vs. un-hittable being. I don't see why you assume she will bother to try and strike back. Jones isn't exactly a good target for venting frustrations.

Tictocs ending into past could also be result of a major Zimmy event. Generally I think Zimmys true power is not just her etheric sensitivity or ability to warp reality, but to war time as well.
The cherry tree in chapter 6 is in decontamination habitat is actually a sherry tree. ("My legs are asleep.")
As you may notice, I'm backreading this thread. Things are starting to get outdated around page 70.

Has much thought been given to Anja's pendant and the computer? What if Kat were to have access to it, and presumably the years' worth of compiled knowledge from her mother's old research?
Would she be able to make her own pendant to link to it, provided etheric help from Annie or something?

The Tictocs are supposed to be older thank the court, but what if they were infinitely old? Say Kat discovers a broken Tictoc, reverse engineers it, and sends it back in time to before the court? If the Tictocs are able to reproduce, then there is an unbroken chain stretching from when the Tictocs were first designed, to the present, but since time travel is involved, and since Kat actually only built the Tictoc by studying her own work, then the Tictocs were never designed, thus, they are infinitely old.
Imagine two portals on opposite walls. If you fed a rope through one, out the other, and tied the ends together, you'd now have an infinitely long rope.

Adding some random thoughts - may or may not have been brought up yet. Kat's always wanted to see how they work [ 157] What happens when she does? Blink!? As far as I'm aware, the only reason we know Zimmy doesn't like the TicTocs is because of what Gamma told Annie [ 194] Zimmy has a history of deceiving Gamma [ 453] Zimmers has never really liked Kat, same with the TicTocs. Perhaps she sees some of Kat in the TicTocs, or vice-versa? Is she afraid of the TicTocs as well? Kat: nose::TicToc: beakthe search index should have a "nose" tag the TicTocs seem to have largely disappeared since stopping Annie from falling, so they may have been for that purpose and that one only not even the Court knows what's up with them [ 277]

There's one less stretched: Coyote: nose. That has a mind of its own. Conclusion: Kat is Coyote's wandering nose!

First a wandering eye.
Now a wandering nose.
What's next? Wandering spleen?
We'll end up with a wandering planet this way ...

How about (that I remember) a wandering heart, a wandering stomach, and wandering hair? There's also a wandering larynx, but it's a baby's larynx and not likely to be even a second-tier character in the comic any time soon. (And a few others that I don't recall.) www.monster-pulse.com/

THIS WHOLE COMICS IS RED PYRO'S HALLUCINATION! Let's see: RED Pyro - Antimony/Zimmy (Aether is a result of Pyrovision). RED Engineer - Kat (obvious, plus one of Pyro's roles is covering Engineer - spychecks (remember when Annie told Kat not to trust posessed Jack?), reflecting projectiles, etc). RED Soldier - Eglamore (explains his jumping skills - he is in fact rocketjumping). RED Demoman - Parley (swords, teleportation is in fact either sticky jump or Charge). RED Medic - Jones (has perfect relationships with everyone, leans towards Eglamore - probably because of Heavy's absence?). Alternatively, Paz, taking pigeons into account, which makes Jones miss Poling, but doubtful. Gamma, perhaps? As the one who gets Zimmy out of her bad trips? RED Spy - Jack (easily bypasses watching systems). Alternatively, Renard, but doubtful - he's more likely to be BLU spy in disguise. RED Sniper - Janet or Winsbury. Alternatively, Smitty. Because he's a lucky bastard. RED Scout - Robot. Redmond Mann - Headmaster Llanwellin (note that he's always sitting on his throne!) BLU Spy - posessed Jack. Maybe the spider. BLU Heavy - Ysengrin. Alternatively, he's SAXTON HALE!
See? RED team is always defending - so that's what the Court represents: their base. Annan Waters and bridge also point on 2Fort or Double Cross.
So, on 2Fort RED Pyro has successfully taken BLU's intelligence and was going back on his base when he encountered BLU Heavy. He started running away, calling for help. RED Soldier heard it, rocketjumped to him across 2Fort stream and helped him to blast BLU Heavy. Then they returned to their base, and Soldier gave Pyro a lection about art of war, full of 'maggot', 'crap' and 'Sun Tzu said that'. Then Medic healed Pyro. And Pyro's mind transformed it into "Annie was chased by Ysengrin, and Eglamore saved her and gave a lecture about responsibility, and after that Annie went to Jones".
Or even better. On Double Cross RED Pyro out of ammo has fallen off bridge, encountered BLU Demoknight and was killed, then respawned. And in his head it turned into "Annie has fallen of bridge, but didn't die, so she spent the night with fairies, and then a ghost with sword hit her, and then there was light, and her friend Kat has descended from above and took her back to the Court with some sort of technological device".
Or how about RED Pyro spychecking RED Spy and finding out it was BLU Spy and then burning him? Yes. You've got Jack's story.

She's a representation of typical F2P (no offence) with Ghastly Gibus. Nobody important. Note how she knows nothing but thinks she's a genius and generally the best, and when she buys a cosmetic haircut and then name tag in Mann Co. store, she and other F2Ps think that it actually makes her more pro. She ragequited after constantly being owned when playing in BLU team on Dustbowl and switched teams. So now she plays 'just for fun'. On Hightower.
