Nothing comes to mind. Or rather, nothing comes to mind that wouldn't break a lot of the forum rules about decency.
Where have all the innocent internet memes gone?
But Todd is right. I can't really think of any speculation that could top the "Mr. Siddell is hallucinating everything" one. I don't really have anything left to contribute to this thread.

Wow, I feel accomplished yet really bad. I may withdraw my previous statement so that other theories may see the light of day.

Hmm, Tom Siddell is Lemony Snicket. Who is also Neil Gaiman AND Abraham Lincoln. He's immortal, you see. The whole comic is actually semi-biographic, from another dimension, with the character of Eglamore being based on Tom. Of course, Annie is his daughter, and he's his own grandfather.

Also: Wild spec for forums: Owl & Rasta are siblings or amanchara.

What's amanchara?
Also: everyone else on this forum is in my head and I'm in an asylum. Or maybe I'm in everybody's head and they're in an asylum.

Or we're all in an asylum in each other's heads... (does that even make sense?)

And now for something completely different... Ooh, ooh, REYNARDINE is Annie's father! Ah, but who's body was he inhabiting at the time?

And now for something completely different... Ooh, ooh, REYNARDINE is Annie's father! Ah, but who's body was he inhabiting at the time? What if Reynardine was in Anthony's body when Annie was conceived. But why was Anthony not killed when Reynardine moved on, and why would Rey try to snatch Annie's body if she were her own father?

Urrr... because... Anthony is actually her stepfather?

Maybe ghost-with-a-sword is one of Reynardine's victims! and/or maybe she's the unknown girl in the picture! (...uh, did someone do that one already?)

Dunno... I think the girl in the picture was once a suicide fairy, for no other reason than because she was just mentioned.

Woah, hello Terminator series... Also: Wild spec for forums: Owl & Rasta are siblings or amanchara. Hee! You shall never know. (Um...what ARE amanchara? ) So here's one. Reynardine has a bad rep because he goes around possessing people and using their bodies to kill suicide fairies so that thye can get to Gunner's Crag. He is an actual employee of whatever company funds the Court. Surma was a suicide fairy with phenominally bad (or good) luck, managing not to be killed by Reynardine. Through a series of unfortunate events she manages to die from "complications". Eglamore is actually a spy from the "nice man" and was put in place to stop Reynardine from getting more students into the school. He was part of Surma's bad luck becuase he always showed up to save her from death. Anthony was Reynadine's last chance to kill Surma, so he did, she died from complications, and is now Annie, who's body was being kept for her by Reynardine. Whew!

new chapter, new theories.
- a significant number of the teachers at GC are in fact robots. So was Anthony Carver, who is currently being repaired. - Robots are manufactured for all sorts of purposes: entertainment (e.g. enigmarons, Basil), surveillance and security (TicTocs), etc etc. - eventually the plot will revolve around who controls the robots. And that's where the Very Nice Man will turn out to be Public Enemy No1

'Amanchara' means 'soul-friend' or 'soul-sibling' in Gaelic. Use your Google-fu. ^^ 'Soulmate' is kind of a modern definition, but that has other connotations that Amanchara does not.

Tom Siddell is a robot, and everything that's happening in the universe is his dream.
He is the first robot to dream, and will soon herald a new age for robots everywhere. We won't see it, though, since everything we know of will disappear as soon as his owner wakes him up to do the laundry or something.

My wild speculation for today;
The robot on the cover page looks sort of like it's wearing glasses.
Kat's dad wears glasses.
Therefore Mr. Donlan is a robot!
...maybe. More likely he just builds and maintains them, like how the gardener presumably tends the lone cherry tree and the newly planted wood-arm, and how Eglamore was in charge of the large animals like Reynardine/Sivo.

How's this for a wild speculation about Chapter Twelve (which, I might add, I don't seriously think will happen in the story, but, hey, this is "wild speculations"):
A weird techno-plague is transforming the students, teachers, and staff at Gunnerkrigg Court from humans into robots, and Annie and Kat have to find the cure before they get infected and altered into robots as well.

Aw sweet, thanks! Gaelic is such an awesome language.
Apparently my Google-fu is weak. *prepares to commit seppuku*
Or it turns out that Zimmy's a robot, and that was ACTUAL STATIC coming out of her.

Wait don't do it...too late...oh well. Actually I think everyone is just random energy floating around and we have together (subconciously) created a huge halluciniation that is shared by the whole world.

Geez. Well, now I know how you'll react if I ever commit REAL seppuku instead of just digital seppuku. Thanks a LOT.
How can energy create something this complex without things like brains and creativity and such, hmm?
Also, if it is true, why are you the only one that has figured it out? You think none of the geniuses in the history of the world would have thought of it? Surely there are some signs somehwere.

Just because we are energy doesn't mean we are non-sentient, and people have figured it out, the problem is they are immediately put in insane asylums and nobody then believes them. Owl- if you do commit seppuku I will be immensely saddened.

Nooooo...No! It's my worst nightmare! Everyone around me knows how the Universe works and the meaning of life and the answers to every philosophical question ever and I don't!!*
*Though I have never actually had this nightmare, it would be TERRIBLE.
