Play the theme to "The Great Escape"! Shit is about to get real, y'all. Which one? The one that goes like "WOHOO, AEHOO"? breakout.jpg (145.35 KB) Eh, just couldn't find enough angry gunnerkrigg-faces for this.

The title page and chapter icon seem much too straightforward. I suspect Tom is tricking us into thinking this chapter will be about returning Reynardine to Annie, while it will actually be about a personal struggle in the life of our dear hero Boxbot. hisssssssssssssssit's about a pimple that Annie finds on her face . . . BREAKOUT!

Play the theme to "The Great Escape"! Shit is about to get real, y'all. It will be a one page chapter: Panel 1: Annie goes to Tony and asks if she can have Reynardine back. Panel 2: He pauses and thinks for a second about how badly he treated her Panels 3-5: Flashbacks to all the mean ways he did things to her Panel 6: "Ok" Final panel" Annie walking down the street hugging Reynardine.
[end of chapter]

That's my 8-bit Renard. You have to break him out, see. Clearly, my Atari graphics skills are not going to win me any awards.

Annie : "Oh, Father? Remember when you asked me to pass control of Reynardine to you?" Carver: "Of course." Annie : " "The reply was 'Ohxi'!"* Ohxi (pron: 'Okee'): Greek for 'No' (If Annie knows a bit of Polish, why not Greek?)

Who's to say the Court didn't replace the bugs? Constant vigilance is required at Gunner's Crag. If Annie plans to get Renard back she might start with having a sit down with Kat. Annie could stand to have a long talk with a good friend about what she's experienced before visiting Anthony. I don't think Annie is going to sneak around trying to get Renard back I think she's going to personally ask for him. This might lead to a flashback showing what happened between Renard, Surma, James and Anthony. There are many possibilities. Who is to say that the Court isn't planting bugs just so Anthony can find them. I wonder if Anthony is worried about underwear gnomes, gnomes that sneak into your room and subtly change the way your underwear is laid out in your drawers.

I'm still holding out for the sort of calm, rational, if very determined negotiation that befits a medium. I think the power differential is too great for out and out diplomacy to win Renard free. It'd be akin to Sealand trying to negotiate something important out of the US. ... Or maybe more like Taiwan-China (RoC/PRC) relations where Taiwan is trying to gain something from China that China doesn't want to give up, in which Antimony is Taiwan, the US is the Forest/Coyote, and the Court/Anthony are China.

Nah, the return of Hetty, surely. 1) Fire Girl vs. Ice King

"An 80's song that I don't know?!" I think to myself. "IMPOSSIBRU!!!" But then I listened to it and I actually do remember it, but I'm pretty sure I haven't heard it since the 80's. Which is a damn shame because it's a really good song!

[...] it's a really good song! ಠ_ಠ It ... is a song, yes. I can give you that. Just remembered how lucky we are that the 80s are firmly in history and will never come back. *KMar returns with haste to sacrificing cookies the Great Old Ones in the hopes that the 80s stay that way. [...] it's a really good song! ಠ_ಠ It ... is a song, yes. I can give you that. I can't recall that song or band having a chart presence in my part of the Europes, and the song sounds a bit Stock Aitken Waterman assembly line on first listen, but it's actually quite catchy. And the vocalist was super pretty.
