... not gambit. but just as cool. note: Parley's hair got neater after moving around smitty. My question is, how does this power work? is it a field around him, or does he need to touch the thing he reorders? I lean towards the second one, if nothing else, it is cooler and more likely. maybe his power functions in the same way our brains coordinate our limbs to catch moving objects. If you had to program a robot to catch a baseball, it would have to perform so many calculations that our minds do in an instant. so maybe that part of his brain is even better than a normal human, and reorders things because it simplifies the calculations. does this mean he's great at catch?

What do we call this power? Entropomancy? Untropy? Smithtropy?
The more I look at today's page, the more I like Smith's face in panel 2.

If so, he could single-handedly save the universe from heat-death, and create a perpetual motion machine. That is, assuming his power is limitless and he never dies. Both of which probably aren't true. In fact, the real question is; can he get rid of entropy quicker than entropy increases naturally? The answer is "Parley". I mean "No".

And, also, be the bomb on frat parties. You mean perpetual motion machines don't make you popular? Time for plan B, then.

Parley's ability is to subconsciously create comic books where there were none. ...probably. I can see why Jones didn't think Smith's power isn't very good for diplomacy unless the party you're talking to enjoys tricks. Unless it doesn't just apply to inanimate objects like cards or jigsaw puzzles, but to people as well. (Which I can't help but think would be bloody amazing. ;D) If that were the case, then he would probably be pretty useful (though he didn't seem to be much help with Ysengrin and Coyote).

Order where there was *none*! So does that mean if there's even the vaguest sense of order, his ability won't work? By the way, the reason why Parley likes to hang around Smit is explained: you don't have to brush your hair in the morning! No more hair straighteners, no more of those expensive shampoos (and conditioners that come with 'em!)! Just hang around Smit and your hair will rearrange itself!

Its sorta fitting that such a wild chaotic outgoing personality would find such a friend.
He probably unconciously controls it and it exudes from him like an aura.
I love the last panel.

To me, this strip looks like more evidence that Parley is missing a few bits in the diplomatic department

Wow.... I actually called it.
Smith looks quite bored/annoyed. I wonder how often Parley makes him do that trick. Parley Parley has some fascination with/lurves Smitty. I wonder how annoyed with her he is...
WHAT WOULD SMITTY'S EYEBROWS BE LIKE WITHOUT HIS ABILITY? Betcha they'd consume his face.

And the winner of the latest guess-his-ability-contest is fratburn! Well done, fratburn! I'd forgotten that he actually got it right - I thought we'd all completely missed on predicting this one. I certainly never saw it coming! she. But thanks : )

smith's annoyance with parley is proportional to his love for annie.

Poor Parley, left in the dust.

Can I borrow him for a bit? I have a jigsaw puzzle I'd like his help on. After that, I could REALLY use his help in my room. Like, desperately. That sounds...dirty.
