Who is this girl really, and what have they done with Antimony? If Tom is at all a competent storyteller--and I believe he is one of the finest working in webcomics today--this is Annie, simply not an aspect of her we've been shown before. [Pretty sure you know that; I just wanted to say it so I could also say:] Understanding how she developed this aspect, and how it will affect her growth, is, I suspect, one of the main reasons Tom started telling us a story about a girl who had acquired a second shadow.

The robots do everything at the court, nobody would see what they're doing. I am reminded of the History Monk sweepers. In this model, Robot would be playing the role of Lu-Tse. === Am I the only one who just recently figured out that the reason Shadow is so fond of Robot is that shadows are by nature always attached to someone?

He will comment negatively on the one error in Annie's school work and not say a thing about the rest of the homework that is perfect. And then he will declare the visitation over because Annie has to redo her school work. Wouldn't be surprised as he already seemed to overlook her legit successes, plus how else would a kid develop the idea that needing to ask her friend for help is a sign of stupidity unless her parent probably suggested that mistakes are unquestionably bad and you have to do perfectly on your work.

It sounds horrible, but I don't want Anthony to start acting nice now. Because if he does that, people might decide to overlook the hurtful things he's already said and done and decide that maybe he isn't so bad after all. There is definitely a fishy smell about this entire matter and Anthony is the big (red) herring. Whatever he's up to, I don't think it bodes well for Annie or Reynardine, and I'm really worried about things now.

Am I the only one who just recently figured out that the reason Shadow is so fond of Robot is that shadows are by nature always attached to someone? True, butt... After a bear poops in the woods, a shadow is attached to the poo. So shadows, as a group, don't seem to be very selective.

2) This room has been giving me strong flashbacks to the Sun Chamber where the cherry tree is (and the hand tree was once before). It's less green and pleasant, but it has that same massiveness and overly-bright lighting and unwelcoming metal door. 3) Of course, it's more like a hospital than anything else, as others have pointed out. Maybe a combination of both. It looks like an aerospace/physics testing bunker, and it's about big enough to contain one of the blasts Annie unleashed on Eglamore in "Fire Spike". All the furniture is cheap, disposable metal. Annie is wearing what looks like some kind of institutional uniform, and she was raised to believe that the totally natural process of fire elemental transference, during which she and her mother couldn't be separated, was a disease. I think this actually is an isolation chamber/staging groung for Anthony's continuing attempts to cut that fire spark out. Maybe he's convinced her it's necessary in case she has another ~episode like the one that burned Anthony's hand off, idk. But I think Annie is on lockdown here.

Conspiracy theory: This Anthony is actually a hard light hologram.

Conspiracy theory: This Anthony is actually a hard light hologram. Counter-conspiracy theory: This Antimony and Kat are hard light holograms. Anthony is in therapy after beating a teacher and taking over his class; his doctors are running him through this scene over and over until they can get him to make the correct decisions. At which point, he will turn out to be Annie working through her Daddy issues by playing him. The "Annie" role is actually being played by her Father, Mrs. Donlan plays Kat, and the role of Renard, when he puts in an appearance, will be played by Krosp, King of Cats.

That's not counter-conspiracy, that's conspiracy-conspiracy.
