Yeah, but every "um" there isn't actually a stumble in speech out of discomfort, it's a comedic pause. The uncomfortable silence with Kat might qualify.

If you're saying that most of the um's were calculated pauses in her speech, I'd have to disagree.
Like any normal person, Annie is stumbling in her speech in all those places. That's all I was saying.

Thinking a bit more about this, I can't help but wonder whether this was calculated on Jones' part or not. Was she using intentionally non-committal wording to see whether Annie would pick up on it (and for that matter, to see how Annie would react to being told "None of your business")? Or did Jones give away more than she intended?
(It's funny. Jones tries to test Annie by ticking her off once, and suddenly everything Jones does looks like it could be a sinister secret test.)
