I'm actually curious as to whether the creature in the first frame of comic 192 is supposed to be a Rogat Orjak like Sivo and if it is whether that has any significance at all or is just a random hallucination by Zimmy.

Heh! Why didn't it occur to me before? All the insect references around Zimmy, the greek sign in the library, the shadow-insects that seemed to crawl on her... she's going through a metamorphosis here, like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. A butterfly with pointy teeth and red eyes... Insects technically don't sleep either, not unlike miss Zeta here, though they do enter a state of torpor. Of course, this raises uncomfortable facts about the giant insect Zimmy saw coming out of the alley walls back in Birmingham; It had red eyes, too, and an abundance of pointy mandibles coming out of its mouth. Could she have been frightened that she might become something like that? Hm, maybe I'm just seeing connections where there aren't any, though. I can see the connections there and I like your theory also. maybe that bug in the alley was her mother or father or both?

While I can see the connections, I think that Zimmy is very much a human, albeit one that's been cursed with this Sight. It's pretty apparent to me that she DOESN'T want it, especially after our latest comic. With the 'darkness' washed away from her eyes, she's the happiest we've ever seen her. It's like her entire art-style has changed, too. We're seeing her in new poses, and with next expressions... She almost looks like Kat, to be honest. Her face has changed shape a bit- not enough that I think her face has actually CHANGED, but she's holding it differently so we're seeing a different perspective. This perspective is a lot more round, with a smoother chin, and it conveys her emotions of joy at being 'cleansed'.
Edit: Spellcheck is your friend.

She's not a bug, I don't think. Perhaps the "blackening" causes the sight? Gamma may be like a sort of temporary cleanser, while rain is more permanent?

More like Gamma is a filter, while the rain actually is a cure.
Think of an old TV set with a broken antenna- if you put tinfoil on the antenna, you'll get better reception... But if you actually want to fix it, you need to buy a new one.

If the rain is a cure, Zimmy might not need Gamma after this. Which seems a little unlikely since she was very keen on having Gamma fully rested before the storm, as if she needed Gamma at "full damping potential".
The metamorphosis theories that have been floating around are somewhat enticing. What do you think of those? (I have a little trouble with the "it's just gunk in her eyes" theories because it was too dark. No matter what the angle, there was just utter blackness.)

There's a difference between not 'needing' her and not needing her powers. It could also be that her Sight will get even worse after this. Taht said, I think that the reason we always see inky blackness is because it's just easier to draw and gets the point across better.

Some sort of Transformation is occuring, whether physical or spiritual is still up in the air. I think both.

I don't exactly think it's "gunk"....in fact I like the IDEA of a metamorphoses type thing. We don't get to see anyone's reaction to this, so we don't know whether this happens everytime it rains or wether it's more the combination of Gamma at full potential, plus the rain. But I don't think Zimmy's a bug.... Perhaps it's some sort of shadow-curse or something?

I wonder what Reynardine's reaction to the changed/clean Zimmy would be?

Fear?

I don't think so. He probably won't like her but he might be willing to touh her now.

I doubt it will be changed at all, and I don't think they'll meet this chapter either. Guess that means I'll be going for 'Fear' too.

Just because she's cleaner? Or because she's so darn cute? I got the impression he didn't want her touching him because she was some sort of demon. I don't think that's changed. (Seems clearer than ever she really is a demon... er, well, there's more to indicate she's really a demon...)

I don't think his reaction will change at all. Because I'm pretty sure that whatever is going on here, Reynardine probably knows more about it than everybody except Zimmy and Gamma themselves.
Also, I doubt Reynardine likes it when anybody touches him, and he doesn't strike me as the touchy feely sort himself.

I wonder why Annie hasn't just ASKED Reynardine... I mean, he might not tell her, but still. I bet she does if he is featured again in the comic. That sed, my prediction for the next comic involves Gamma & Zimmy's reactions, and either that will be the last comic or possibly one more. Reynardine would be a bonus page.

I think the next will also include Annie's reaction.

And maybe where Kat is? Possibly? She's not one to miss out on this kind of action. I mean, maybe she's just at class, but why send her to class for no reason, eh Tom? Hmmmm?

I thought it was said that she didn't want to hang out around Zimmy, since Zimmy keeps insulting her?

Reynardine probably knows what's happening to her now, and knew it then, so I doubt his reaction would have changed. Reynardine really knows what's going on.

It would seem that Reynardine is sort of our 'sage' character, the one who knows much but doesn't tell the main characters, in his case out of malice.

Maybe this isnt real, Zimmy was talking about how 'this isnt real'. And the cut on Antimony's cheek is back...which means something I'm sure...I think...
Is it Wensday yet?

He updates at midnight PST. I have no idea why, except to make me wait an hour longer to post my discussion topic. Wrawr. Honestly, probably because that's the latest reasonable time before you hit the IDL again.
