Hmm, neither of them really 'matter' to this storyline, and so they just haven't been included. This chapter has taken a lot of comcis, but remember that not much time has passed in-world.

Do ghosts have shadows, though? I mean, Mort is not only see-through (at times) but he positively seems to glow.

it's quite simple...he probably sits with his shady mom, shady dad and all his shady friends around the bonfire (it makes them shadows of course), grills their shady steaks and talks about their shady themes...it's obvious

If you know where your sig comes from I am not interprting it, okay maybe I am. he's actually on the firefly class transport ship Serenity. All kidding aside he is still somewhere at the castle as I don't see Tom just removing him from the story, but where he currently resides is not really something we need right now.

Assuming the "very nice man" who gave the Robot his new arm was some kind of ally of the shadows in the forest over there (since the Robot appeared possessed, spoke of the dude, and had a shadow with him), the shadows/whatever is out there seem pretty intent on taking out Reynardine, or perhaps they want to steal him and free him, or harness his ability to possess other stuff, or something?
What I'm trying to say is, maybe Shadow 2 is off wreaking some unknown havoc on Reynardine. Recon work, or something. WHO KNOWS. He might not necessarily be good.
Though I sort of doubt that.

The shadows are a really big mystery and I doubt it will be resolved anytime soon. As for not all bets are off for me.

The shadow that Robot brought back on the bridge wasn't Shadow 2. I think it was evil and could have had something to do with corrupting Robot.

What I mean is, why would Shadow 2 (who wasn't the shadow on the bridge, that one died anyway) want to come with Annie in her shoe? I presume something drove him from his home in Gillitie. Perhaps that was the reason he was in Gunnerkrigg Court in the first place when Annie first encountered him.

How did Shadow 2 end up in GC in the first place? He couldn't have gotten there all by himself, because the lights give him no place to hide. Something or someone brought him there.
