I will also inquire at my local comic and other such items shops as to obtaining such a manuscript for my biblophilic pleasure.

Fantastic news! I'll need to get one for one of my friends, too.

I found out at the weekend that one of the people in charge of ordering new books for Essex Libraries goes to my church. I was waxing lyrical about the book to her yesterday, telling her to order it

Good news, I'm an English teacher in Thailand and my students won't read 'real' books - only comic format. I hope we can get them here, I need a class set! By the way, we have tic-tocs here in Thailand. Also Tom, are you a fan of Kate Rusby?

Ohhh, I sure hope it comes into Borders here in good ol' NZ. I'm terrible at asking shops to order things in...
(Yay for hardcover!)

I just dashed off an email to the closest comic store I could find. Hopefully they'll read it. I want this so much it isn't funny.

Tom, does it help more if I pre-order from Amazon or ask for it at my local comic shop? I'm in the US.

It might be better for you to get it off Amazon since you get 5% off the price for the pre-order. But you can still ask a comic shop to stock the book without buying one yourself.

I just asked for it at my local shop.

Brilliant! You had me in tears! Though the link doesn't work for me anymore (I read it a few days ago)?

If you mean my link to the abuse of Siddell's art, it should still be there. At least, I still see the link and the thumbnail.

It looks like it's listed on most of the various Amazon sites now, so hopefully there will be full coverage. When the product pages are finalised with the over image and everything I'll make sure to mention them.
Also a quick question for anyone who sees this; Would any of you be interested in buying copies directly from me for a little extra if they were signed or included a sketch?

Yes, I would be interested. However, I'm incredibly cheap, so it'd depend on how much "a little extra" actually is.

Yes, I would too, also depending on price (I'm a student, so I'm entitled to be cheap - but as I'm in Lundun and have a pounds account, it's not as bad as for the Americans!). It would be a nice gift though, for example if I could send you someone's photo with my book order, and give the book with a drawing by the author of the person I'll give it to! Would that be possible?

Of course! (if it's signed) But there'll probably be a problem with shipping costs. (even more for the readers from america)

I would definitely be interested in a book with a sketch. It would be a really great present for my Dad! Only trouble is his birthday is on the 31st March, but I'll think of something.

I'd buy a signed / cartooned copy direct from you.
So, are you a fan of Kate Rusby?

My income stream has suddenly improved considerably because some kind people believe in my research. Now I'm DEFINITELY interested in buying from Tom with a bonus sketch, and not one, but two copies... But what's the timeframe? One I need by 15 May.

If I could get a signed one, I'd die of happiness. But once again, I live in the US. Could that work?
