I know that "Aurelia" is related to the Latin "aurus" for "gold", and might therefore be some sort of variant on "gold" (an appropriate word to find in a book on alchemy, certainly). I can confirm that 'Aurelius' is an adjectival name form of 'Aurus', it means 'Golden' (hence the name Aureliano, etc). Actually, I think that is intended to be a pheonix feather. I think it indicates Kat's ability to bring the older 'dead' robots 'back to life'. On that note, the big wheel on this page might be the cycle of death and rebirth? Or it could be the Omega device. I mean, many of the Treatises contain symbols relating to Annie's father and mother; the eye could be Annie's mothers', from the afterlife, watching. Anyway, there's that weird heart-monitor looking signal behind the eye. And all those clouds! Then again, it could be Jones/Wandering Eye. There's so much stuff here though pointing to the Philosopher's Stone and the Prime Matter et al... I think the Seed Bismuth, Jones, this Life/Death stuff, and the Omega Device are really really closely intertwined. Also that faint note in Treatise Three about 'Bonum Finitum', maybe it means Finite Resources?......... and mysteriously, there's smog coming from the Court.... hmmmmmmmmmm

Guys! Just wanted to report that I figured out those symbols on Treatise 5 on that weird object on the top left. This kept bugging me for ages and ages because I knew I'd seen them before. They're the symbol for light-dependent resistors, used in electronics. LDRs are ways of building light-sensitive devices. Not that this solves anything, mind you – there are so many symbols in the Treatises that are sun- or light-related. But hey, it's a clue!
