Why is everyone all doom-and-gloom? C'mon, it's Christmas eve (for us), Don and Anja are going on a romantic holiday, the girls finally get to have time together, everybody should be in a good mood! Stop this foreboding right now! Break out the party hats and have a good time! It's not over until the fat lady sings, my friend...

One alternative though, is that the court expects Renard to stay with Annie, and it's easier to keep an eye on HIM when he's in the dorms. Most people still don't like him very much. Renard has his own room. I didn't find the particular page that had them switching around, but maybe someone else remembers what chapter it was in. It was before Quicksilver, though, because the first page of that chapter shows his room. Lindsey gives Reynard his marching orders here, p1133, Ch. 41. (Check the index for Rey and SubDorm gets pretty close.)

Just looks like she's sticking her tongue out or biting her lip in panel 1. Risky move, Annie.
The fact that the happy note the chapter could end on is happening now makes me worry about Friday's update.

What's up with Anja's hand? She was cooking? Surprisingly there's still no end of chapter mark. Probably because this page doesn't include any major cliffhangers. And the whole mess around those robots is too big to swept under bonus page anyway.

I like that she can jump right up to the top of her lofted bed. Maybe she's getting a boost from that chair-box-thing. Yeah, regardless that was pretty impressive. Especially that she's doing it sideways and one-handed.

As I said before, the bonus page is more likely to be another treatise page than a regular bonus page.

Anyone else bothered by panels 1 and 3? I swear, no human (nor fire elemental) has a mouth like that! Really? Don't see the problem. I love the way she shows her uncertainty.

Especially that she's doing it sideways and one-handed. I think she partly jumped and partly levitated. And it took a bit of extra attention because the landing area (the bed, up to the ceiling) is smaller than she got used to in the forest last summer - and also because she wanted to, in the process of it, turn her back to the landing area and alight in a sitting position on the edge of it. All in all, she needs greater precision even though she can't see what she's doing as well.

It's an easy jump but it makes me wonder about people with the power of levitation, at what point do they just stop trying normal things? "Why bother walking up this flight of stairs when I can just float up there?" Annie seems like she enjoys being an active girl, but I am sure some people with levitation powers would become lazy.

"Designing crazy new robot biotech using weird technomagical affinity is fun, but for a change, I think I'll try doing it using just normal human engineering and maths!"
(15 minutes later)
"I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't think this is even possible. Plus even if it was, I think you'd need like lots and lots of people and facilities and time. Umm... I'll just go back to doing this the usual way."
(15 minutes later)
"Done! Whew. Let's never speak of this again."

Since we havent seen the end of chapter mark yet, I think he's gonna give us another look at the robots as a sort of epilogue (like in the chapter with testing the arm).
