Actually, I think he might be snacking on a wisp!The central bright ringed area is Coyote's ear. The other ear is a dark patch slightly above and to the left. His eyes are the bright stars in the dark patches below said ears, and his nose is off to the left. The wisp is the really bright patches slightly below centre.
(What is missing is the trademark grin. The layout would also match a thylacine, which is something I'm sure Coyote would have loved to have met. Other interpretations include a Minecraft creeper)
I don't see any cute coyote head either, or what arf said.
