dying sucks, this whole situation sucks,
I wish I could feel happy for Mort and proud of Ann, but I just can't. Maybe it's because I'm just immature religious Ameritard but damn,...
Jesus or Muhammad should be the one to handle Mort not a 13 year old girl

For other people. If you're the person dying, it's probably a relief to be out of your present situation which is, considering the fact that you are moments from death, very likely to be unpleasant. It's not the dying part that sucks- it's living with the knowledge of it.

But let me tell you- first sign that the dementia/health problems are getting really bad and I'm gonna go out like Hemingway- both barrels tucked under the chin. Wheezing out my last breaths in some sterile hospital bed with the morphine drip going on full blast next to me, not being able to remember the faces of anyone crowded around my bed is not the way I want to leave conscious reality.

I'm still waiting for the memory loss, that Annie mentioned. Do spirits become drunk on the Ether, or is it more about them becoming diluted? Like a rain drop in a river, forgetting it was once a drop. And how certain should the psychopomps be of what happens to a spirit after it leaves their custody?

There are none for death. If it was one's mind going, though, I'm with GK (if it were absolutely incurable).

For some reason, this page reminded me of Mort Fun Time. It's likely that I'm a bad person.

Gosh, this would certainly be a terrible moment for everything to go horribly, horribly wrong, wouldn't it?

Jesus or Muhammad should be the one to handle Mort not a 13 year old girl Hang on, have a missed something? I was under the impression Annie was around the age of 15-16 by this point. Is my understanding that far off? Also, I'm going to echo an earlier question. Just under how much authority do we have it that a spirits ultimate existence once they're taken into the ether is to be dissolved back into the universal stuff that made them? Do we consider this a solid fact or just what is by-and-far most likely given observation?

Is my understanding that far off? The girls are still in Year 9 at school, which in the english school system means they are 13/14. Given we seem to be coming to the end of the school year soon, they are most likely 14 by now.
