Here's a few little quickies I did I can explain it was that thing where you draw your favorite comic character as your favorite video game character and I was like "How bout a GC character as Ness" and then from there it all went downhill and now we have a series of GunnerkriggBound doodles There are actually a few parallels between most of these and so here I will put a completely ignorable list of Reasons I allocated them to these characters, because I'm an Earthbound nerd and ya can't stop me mom it's too late now. I wanted to use the Mediums in Training plus kat, because that's a nice way to decide which group of four main-character children to use. Ness/Smitty- Admittedly, the only thing I can think of here is that they look fairly similar, if only because of the hair. Paula/Annie- Magic girls who can do fire things, have a stuffed animal that helps them when they have to fight, wear lipstick, and live at a school. Jeff/Kat- Children who like to engineer crazy stuff, sometimes out of rather mundane materials. They're both Scottish, go to boarding school, have scientist parents, and are often shipped with one of their schoolmates of the same sex. Poo/Parely- Skilled teleporters who fight with swords and wear their hair in a ponytail. They both have embarrassing first names and are born into big-name families. (Of course, being a Prince is hardly comparable to your father being a famous psychic) TL;DR Psyke is a big dummy face nerd.

Ever noticed that Zimmy is really cute when shaken out of this grumpy expression? I found a picture which, while (presumably) is not Gunnerkrigg fanart, shows what may happen if you "put her in a nice dress, do up her hair" (after she leaves the "awkward teen" stage, anyway). Behold!
Good eye, Jack! Crazy, but good eye nonetheless! I thought I did this with my old valentine's pic?

Again, could people please avoid transcluding huge images which break the forum display for those of us with older displays?
Nice pictures, shame about the tiny text (when I zoom out far enough to see the whole image).

Would this be the right place to put this? Decided to design a Coyote Hoodie, because I wanted one. I'd love if this or something similar was official merch! It's pretty rough around the edges, unfortunately, but I think the general idea is pretty clear. I have a much higher res version than the ones I've posted, but that's even more rough around the edges and it's really only for editing purposes. (Click the picture for a higher res!)I didn't make the base, the template was sourced from here.

Tataudu: That's really gorgeous! I've been thinking about designing/making Gunnerkriggian clothes for awhile, actually...I might have to shuffle my sewing schedule around to accomodate...

If you can manage to print that template onto one of those "make your own clothing design" services, I will buy it so fast that the tachyons from the event will travel back in time and wake up Dr. Manhattan.

If you can manage to print that template onto one of those "make your own clothing design" services, I will buy it so fast that the tachyons from the event will travel back in time and wake up Dr. Manhattan. Unfortunately there's a lot of reasons that wouldn't happen! For one, those sites usually only allow for very simple designs, with print on the front or back, and this is a pretty complex design in that perspective. (And trying would probably make it look weird anyway!) Also, it would be morally and legally wrong of me to sell this design anyway, or even just put it up on a site for everyone to buy it (including myself), so your best bet there would be to try to convince Tom himself into making this (or something similar) into official merchandise. Or you can make it yourself. This design is available for everyone to use for whatever they want, as long as they credit (if reposting) or aren't making any money off it. If I find the time I might try to do others based on Reynardine or Ysengrin, though I can't imagine either would be as complex as Coyote's. Edit: Woops I made another one. Ysengrin! (Again, click for higher res)I am really enjoying this I hope you guys are liking them as much as I am liking designing them. And if you make something based on one of these design templatey things (rather than making your own design, which is cool too) please show me because I would absolutely LOVE to see them!

I really like the simplicity of this one! It's immediately recognizable and kind of...elegant, actually. I look forward to seeing a Reynardine design.

I look forward to seeing a Reynardine design. Your wish is my command! (As always, click for a bigger version)I thought one based solely on his plush form would be too plain, likewise with his original form (and not distinctive enough, it'd just be a plain ol' fox really), so I decided to blend the two. I think it worked out nicely.

Tataudu, those are beautiful. (Now I actually might have to trick out a gray hoodie along these lines, if you'd allow me to borrow from your design to do so...)

hello, I loved Tom's latest page of GC with Coyote saying "I... don't... exist..." and tweeked it a little so as to make it landscape to use as a desktop and thought I'd share. It's pretty big so I'll just post a link rather than the image... img.photobucket.com/albums/v140/RawShark/coyote.jpgenjoy.

Hey look, it's Smitty's cousin from across the pond! You just can't go wrong with a freshly pressed white dress shirt. It's not possible.

YESSS MORE COSPLAYERS. It looks fantastic! Let us know how much you get recognized. I've never seen any other GKC cosplayers in person, but you might get lucky.

Yeah, you might run into a Parley cosplay. That would be a great icebreaker.

Yeah, you might run into a Parley cosplay. That would be a great icebreaker. That would be Fate AND quite appropriate for the character he's playing

I noticed something about the art on your wall... Are your images reversed? Or are you in a country where writing is right-to-left even when copying words from other languages that are left-to-right? (I've watched people write in Arabic which is right-to-left... and when they had to include an English word, that word was written left-to-right.)

I also absolutely love the Coyote one, and the rest are fantastic as well. Seriously someone needs to talk to Tom about this, because I want that Renard hoodie "No one can catch the mofo ing fox" /reference

I also have to come out of lurking to say I would jump on those hoodies. MAN! The Coyote and Ysengrin ones especially. I might even get all four. Tom. Please.
