I understood that the hand was about to slap Coyote's away, but it does look odd. There is not enough tension in the arm, maybe? It does rather look like he is holding it there instead of in mid-motion. But other than that, I must say this is one of the most beautiful fan arts I've ever seen. Hell, the most beautiful fan art. I really, really do adore it. Do you have a site with more of your art? A deviant art, perhaps? I'd love to see a larger body of work!

This isn't really fanart since I'm just photoshopping the artist's original pics and adding some fonts, but it did take me a REALLY long time so I thought I'd share it over here too. Check it out here: Power Ranks in Gunnerkirgg Court (it's VERY long, so I'm not going to repost it) If you want to talk about how I ranked people, please do so in that thread, not here, since this is an art thread. One thing I did try to do was find font styles that were representative of each character. Not always an easy thing to do. I also tried to pick panels that best represented that character's personality, which took a lot of digging through the archives.

Nice Shonen art you got there. ;3 Thankyou! Though I don't think of my art as anime style art really.

Holy crap pudgimelon!! That must of taken a really long time... even if it's not art I commend you in taking the time to put all of that together... especially the Reynardine bit... very nice!

Why? Good criticism is quite valuable. It helps to make the next one even more fabulous I agree XD

Holy crap pudgimelon!! That must of taken a really long time... even if it's not art I commend you in taking the time to put all of that together... especially the Reynardine bit... very nice! Yeah, it did. Thanks for the compliment. Most of the photoshop work I did isn't really visible, since I was erasing speech balloons and making them match the background. Time consuming, but not really flashy stuff. It was tough to pick a single picture for Reynardine. I think I actually should have gone with three pics. I picked his toy and fox-demon forms, because he's often treated as comic relief but at the same time he's also a murderous monster. A third form might be the new "wolf-friend" form he takes when he's around Annie. That's a new side to his character, and one that may or may not be for real. Reynardine is a complex character, so he's not as easy to capture in one panel as Ysengrin (who's easy, you just look for the most psychotic facial expression possible and that sums up Ysengrin quite neatly). I may get around to doing some fanart soon, but in the mean time, I'm enjoying everyone else's work in this thread.

I didn't mean it to be that feminine LAUGHING ON LINE... I was more trying to make it look like him smacking Coyote's hand away... I guess I failed at that <_< Well, I didn't mean "feminine" as a negative thing, just that a feminine pose seems out of character (at least in my view of Rey). But then again, that's what fanart is about sometimes, redoing favorite characters according to our vision. However, if you notice the angle of the arm and the position of the hand, you can see that if he followed that motion through, he'd smack Annie's elbow, not Coyote's hand. Perhaps if you had put Coyote's fingers behind Rey's arm and popped it out a bit, that might have worked (the palm of his hand should have been turned more away from us too), but then it would have been impossible for Rey's arm to be so tight to his upper body. Hope you take the criticism contructively, it's meant that way. Love the drawing, very high quality work and a distinctive coloring style. I'm just vaguely recalling the lessons I learned from my Life Drawing class back at MIAD a long, long, long time ago. My teacher always used to remind us to get the form and position right first, before worrying the details. Perhaps one of those posable wooden art-dolls (or a classic 18" GI Joe if you have one lying around) would come in handy. Then you could pose your characters first and you'd be able to judge body and limb positioning better. For example, Rey's body is too far behind and at the wrong angle to be slapping Coyote with a close-to-body arm position like that. The arm would have to be reaching further out and at a slightly higher angle, I think. Nit-picking, yes, I know, but again, it's meant constructively. Overall, I think the piece is excellent, and as others have said, you dead-on pegged Coyote's personality in human form. Nice work!

So I decided to draw Gamma Please excuse my loose leaf... and lack of scanner... and any bodily disproportions you might find. (eg. Head:Body ratio) ^_^'' Criticisms are welcome! Except about her shoulders being off-kilter. I already noticed that one. =)

A quick one of Antimony -- I've always thought she looked better without her makeup, but ah well.

Zat is a very nice Gamma... same expression sort of spaced out but a warm smile. My only major bit of crit would be that her neck is a tad bit too large... you may want to make it thinner and slender it out some so that she looks more girl like, and less body builder like. Otherwise she has very expressive eyes~ Great job
The Annie by Yubi is very nicely colored... Annie looks more annoyed than usual but it's a good picture.. keep up the work! I really like the way you colored the hair ^^

I can't imagine Annie dressing like that, or playing an electric guitar. Though Kat, on the other hand - I *can* imagine her doing both of those things.

Why are Annie and Kat playing left-handed guitars right-handed?

Um, if they're playing right-handed, then I'm...very confused. 'Cuz I'm right-handed, and I hold a guitar the opposite way, on the few occasions I have the audacity to pick one up. And my mom, who is also right-handed and quite proficient on the guitar, does the same.

It's actually the opposite, they're playing right-handed guitars lefty. As Hendrix did.
Pretty rock'n'roll.

You're quite right, I'm confusing my left with theirs'. Have we seen whether Annie and Kat are sinistral? As for distractions how about "Oooh, look, a Blibbering Humdinger!"
