Sometimes I wonder what would this comics be like if all the characters (apart from mythological ones (and Dr Disaster, because just no)) had opposite gender. I kind of want to see a female Ysengrin, with a pink bow in her fur (though alas, jokes about wood would be less fun). And does Coyote even have a gender in-comic?

He's referred to by He, if that's what you mean. Well now I kind of want to see Rule 63 on GKC.

And I agree, Ysengrin looks better in pink. Maybe I should fix that. Also, on the question of my gender, refer to this helpful guide.

In Kiki's Delivery Service, the English subtitles and several plot summaries describe the birds in the forest as crows, but they sure sound like jackdaws.

There are no jackdaws in Japan though —not that Kiki is set in Japan, but it makes it unlikely as a bird to take model from in a japanese animated film. Also there are something like three dozens different species of crows; the "crows" in one region of the world may look significantly different from those of another region.

Also there are something like three dozens different species of crows; the "crows" in one region of the world may look significantly different from those of another region. The birds are shown as having a clearly defined white stripe at the back of their head. Jackdaws and crows can be lighter around the neck but they're more light grey at best. Pied crows have well defined white stripes but only live in Africa while Kiki has a general European setting (you can see signs that look Swedish, English, German, Finnish, Baltic and/or Turkish in origin). Can any other sorts be found that match this description?

Hey, on another topic, today's Sandra and Woo involves Coyote - very well drawn. This made me happy.
And anyone that can name all of the mythological characters there today without looking at the tags has my respect. I got all but two: one wrong, and one unknown.

Not a webcomic I read, but I checked the page out just for kicks.

Here's hoping Coyote shows his face in that universe again - unlikely, I know.
