What I'm hoping is that Tom made this chapter to purge his fanbase of anyone who wasn't going to be cool with the fact that Kat was not straight as an arrow. Seems a bit rash. It has that effect, but I think the chapter has a logical place in the story as it is, including Rey's sermon. Well you can have a little preview. (link from Tom's Twitter)

Why is Tom's post count so high? I never noticed that 2^24+1 = 16,777,216.00 Tom's post count = 16,777,217 An extremely improbable coincidence; it probably has some special meaning to the software. (Which, by the way, is not a good software design practice. There have been all sorts of problems caused by a field having some primary meaning but also having magic values that mean something unrelated. But a LOT of that went on in the old days when storage, whether temporary or long-term, was precious.)

What I'm hoping is that after this chapter we can put hormones in the backseat and let magic and science drive for a while. Indeed. Though relationships are an important part of life, they are only a part. I'd like to think, that on the GC road trip, Magic and Science are our copilots. The rest are just passengers for interesting car talk. It wouldn't be as fun without them all, but I wouldn't want to take directions from them. Especially, Hormones. That guy can be a real jerk, sometimes. Hormones is your annoying buddy who decides to pre-game in the car on the way to the concert and then wants to act as your GPS, shouting drunken directions until you miss your exit and get lost.

Right? Also, the "+1" might be Tom's last post, simple as that.

Me gusta. Is is going to be a vacation soon, or will they be graduating to the next, uniformless year?

Guys, you realise that Tom can set his post count to whatever he wants, right? There's an option when editing his profile (and other people's) to set post count to anything he likes. Well, any positive number that's less than 4,294,967,295 at least.

All I know is that I made a proboard forum, edited my postcount on that forum to 9999999999999999999 and upon saving the postcount was saved as 4,294,967,295.

On past showing end of year is likely to be at the end of Vol. 5, which won't be for 5-6 chapters yet. Smitty is two years ahead of our 'main babes' (he's now in Yr 11) and Parley is three (Yr 12). Judging from they're wearing in Ch 35, (and various snarky remarks), uniforms become optional in Yr 12.

I might add that Tom's little preview of dress code for the next chapter shows our heroines looking a lot more relaxed. Whether this is due to a satisfactory resolution of current issues, or a mild sugar high from a bit of retail therapy remains to be seen.
As Mr. Shakespeare put it: "The play's the thing."

Judging from they're wearing in Ch 35, (and various snarky remarks), uniforms become optional in Yr 12. In British secondary schools there's no uniform in sixth form (years 12 and 13), although some have made rules like having to dress smartly (read: males wear suits, females 'dress like a receptionist' (words of my old head teacher, not mine)). I don't know the reason for this, I would hazard a guess that it's because those two years are optional. GKC is, in some ways based off of Tom's school so for the last two years there is no uniform. Unless you're in Foley, I guess. I'd suspect that the next chapter is set at a weekend, which is why they're in their own clothes. I guess it's hard to do whatever happens in the next chapter if Annie and Kat have classes.

And now the "best comments" section: So... uh... I wanted to ask a lot of folk " are you twelve?!" about once per page of forum during the last two chapters, but thought something is wrong with this. Thanks to anfit for pointing out exactly what.

Let him be lad. He's mourning the loss of any potential KatxAnnie shipping. Give him time. Actually, with this recent page, there is still hope. There is always hope in the mind of a shipper. ALWAYSHey, since you enjoy being a gimmick account, here is a fun new gimmick; if you ever make a post again with the words "" "" "" or "" again, you will be banned. This includes, but is not limited to, using any of these words in passing or legitimate uses of these words or character names. Edit: I encourage anyone who spots Intelligence using any of these words, or even alluding to them and trying to get around using them, to report him, in case I don't spot him myself. It's all part of the fun gimmick! All right, I'll stop.
Or is there?

She tried to steal Kat from Annie. It's all part of the fun gimmick! Some pseudo-kudos to Intelligence - that's the first time Tom's posted in how long? Also, all hail the glorious creator!

It's like this forum is in some strange medium where trolling is common and the infection is spreading. Bah, internet. Yes, I recognize the irony about complaining about the internet on a forum about a WEBcomic.
