Ah, the old good pastime - "overthink everything".  So just to add to the awkwardness, I'm sure Kat swept her spaces for bugs and all, but she doesn't really grok the whole etheric concept -- and this was her mom's workshop. How much you want to bet her mom is keeping an eye on her daughter? I don't mean in a weird/creepy way or anything, but I can't imagine that her mom doesn't know 1.) most of what goes on in her old workshop, and 2.) that her daughter is in a new relationship. Agreed. But what can you do, there is a competition for the thread, you don't have the time to think it through if you want to create it, and that was the last line of the page. I guess it can be edited if it matters enough to a number of people Is there a precedent for this sort of thing? Probably not? but I'm quite new to the forum, actually, so what do I know. I don't think that is so important. Many times there would have been a better name available in the page, but the competition to create the page thread is sort of a game, and this is just a little side effect. Sure everybody does his or hers best in that short time we have to decide for a good title and punchline. It would feel a little against the spirit of the game if these were radically changed afterwards, because one idea of it is to get to decide the title of the thread, right? |

Well, in any event, I still feel new, and I guess it's because it's also about a year since I started to read this and there had already been long years of discussion around the comic on this forum when I arrived. It still feels kind of new to me, full of information, habits and codes I am unaware of or do not understand. And it's probably because of that precise reason that I mentioned being new: I don't know of a precedent, but there might well have been one before I arrived; I understand this thread creation the way I explained it, but I've only been into it for a few chapters, and I've only been learning to understand the habit, and might have got it way differently than the others who have been doing it for years before I even knew about this forum. There. Now that I wrote it out, I think I understand what I meant. I guess you get that senior status rather easily here. |
