"Never ask, only guess."
Tom's advice is very appropriate.

Kat looks like this at the end: ಠ_ಠ
Is the boxed text her thoughts, or the robot talking? Because I think the robot talked with a square text box.

Kat looks like this at the end: ಠ_ಠ Is the boxed text her thoughts, or the robot talking? Because I think the robot talked with a square text box. The robots talk with angular speech ballons, but not rectangles. Considering that, and the context, it's pretty clear that they're Kat's thoughts.

IIIIIH ! Ghosts everywhere !!! And Thanks to Aaroncampbell, I didn't think of this at all and now I'm wondering "is she spying, in her etheric form, mum-smile on her face, waiting for the resolution of this instant of cuteness ?"...

Ah, the old good pastime - "overthink everything". So just to add to the awkwardness, I'm sure Kat swept her spaces for bugs and all, but she doesn't really grok the whole etheric concept -- and this was her mom's workshop. How much you want to bet her mom is keeping an eye on her daughter? I don't mean in a weird/creepy way or anything, but I can't imagine that her mom doesn't know 1.) most of what goes on in her old workshop, and 2.) that her daughter is in a new relationship. Heh heh heh. Hyu knows pipple! Is the boxed text her thoughts, or the robot talking? Because I think the robot talked with a square text box. It's the pigeons talking.

Agreed. But what can you do, there is a competition for the thread, you don't have the time to think it through if you want to create it, and that was the last line of the page. I guess it can be edited if it matters enough to a number of people Is there a precedent for this sort of thing? Probably not? but I'm quite new to the forum, actually, so what do I know. I don't think that is so important. Many times there would have been a better name available in the page, but the competition to create the page thread is sort of a game, and this is just a little side effect. Sure everybody does his or hers best in that short time we have to decide for a good title and punchline. It would feel a little against the spirit of the game if these were radically changed afterwards, because one idea of it is to get to decide the title of the thread, right?

I hope Kat asks the robot to help with some scheme to find out. Their subtlety will surely make this less awkward. Cool idea that right now feels even likely to happen. That would be soooooo funny.

I like that the last panel could almost be interpreted as Kat pinching herself, and going "THIS HAS TO BE REAL."

Yes, that interpretation is funny Funny how that could be a "this can't be real expression" and a "I have to make sure" expression at the same time.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter.

No, that can't be? Well, in any event, I still feel new, and I guess it's because it's also about a year since I started to read this and there had already been long years of discussion around the comic on this forum when I arrived. It still feels kind of new to me, full of information, habits and codes I am unaware of or do not understand. And it's probably because of that precise reason that I mentioned being new: I don't know of a precedent, but there might well have been one before I arrived; I understand this thread creation the way I explained it, but I've only been into it for a few chapters, and I've only been learning to understand the habit, and might have got it way differently than the others who have been doing it for years before I even knew about this forum. There. Now that I wrote it out, I think I understand what I meant. I guess you get that senior status rather easily here.

Yeah, I guess that's not too difficult to be on a relatively slow forum like this one. Heck, I have to keep self-moderating into not posting more than everybody else in the thread.. I'm used to replying to just about everything relevant on other forums

I've been registered here since February, but I'm a lurker by nature so I don't post much.

I'm used to replying to just about everything relevant on other forums I keep deleting 90% of my posts cause it's nothing more than just "I agree with this/that gal/guy". Or I just simply feel it doesn't hold any relevant information at all. Like this one. : D

Oh wait, not. Senior member. ...When did that happen?! I'm just crazy and have no life Same here. How odd to contemplate. Over time it stops bothering you. Then one day you realize that actually you did have a life. You had a whole entire life and you just lived a decent chunk of it. Then you have a stiff drink and decide what to do with the rest of it with whoever has stuck around.

I'm usually on the sidelines with my friends and listen in for conversations. I only talk freely online, so that's why I'm on here so much. A stiff drink is... alcohol?
