Gosh darn it, Volume 4 is sold out already... I knew it was going to sell out quick, but I was trying to give the boyfriend an easy birthday gift. D:< Good for Tom. This makes me wonder if there are still elementals living in the forest. Highly likely.

This makes me wonder if there are still elementals living in the forest. Probably, several of the monsters knew of fire elementals. Ysengrin also said that there are creatures that can control fire, which could imply elementals, but I suppose some monster with that ability is possible.

I never realized it, but Ysengrin is huge for a wolf

I never realized it, but Ysengrin is fucking huge for a wolf I'm not so sure, wolves (like a lot of wild animals) can grow bigger than you'd think: Not quite Ys-sized, but close enough that it might just be the medium exaggerating the difference.

No no, I mean huge. His head is the length of Annie's entire torso; he's like a pony.

".. could have complicated matters."
I think that's about as close as Ys is likely to get to saying that Annie was the only one holding things together back there. Still, the kid did good, and what's life without a little risk?
(Also note the lack of 'hrf-ing' in the last few pages?)

I'm sobbing over here! Ys has always been my favourite character and this arc's giving me warm fuzzy feelings for atleast a year.
Now things are bound to go horribly wrong.

Note the most salient point of this page: Ysengrin is completely comfortable, and even volunteers to show his weak side in the presence of Antimony now. Contrast this page with page 671. Also, since I've now created an account, an observation I had regarding the chapter title page that seems to fit this happenings of this chapter nicely. It would seem Tom has kept up with his Tennyson: Flower in the crannied wall, I pluck you out of the crannies, I hold you here, root and all, in my hand, Little flower—but if I could understand What you are, root and all, and all in all, I should know what God and man is.

Now, she really does have blood all over her. The others' reaction should be humorous. I wonder if a "fire" character will be introduced. It's role could be adversarial or friendly... or both.

A very lovely insight. Better than what I was thinking, that it symbolized the emergence of Annie's potential amidst the ruins of the Court, of her inner nature poking through her upbringing.

Yeah "Geez Annie! Are you hurt anywhere?!" LAUGHING ON LINE I wonder if there are still elementals. I mean, they said they knew some right? But do they still exist?

If we assume that Annie is a step under five feet tall (Approx average height of 13-year-old British girls), thet that means that Ysengrin's head is like two and a half feet long. You know what else is two and a half feet long? The length of my guitar's neck is 27 inches, the height of my bed is 28 inches, and the width of my bedroom door is 30 inches.

Based on comparing measurements from the comic, I think his head is about 29 inches from snout to crown.

I don't usually use inches or feet as measurement... but that's pretty damn big for a head, right?
